I have a relatively new Liftmaster opener (came with the house) that has MyQ branding on the side... I should only need this bridge, right?

Yes, that's 100% correct.

I have two Liftmaster garage door openers with MyQ logos on the side in my garage and only needed this item to control both of them though the MyQ app and/or the HomeKit app.

Thanks! Do you have to set them up in the MyQ app first before they become available in HomeKit? I'd rather not have to use the MyQ app at all and just roll with Home/Siri. IIRC it can also be set up from their website. Also seems you have to have a MyLiftmaster account to set up the MyQ/Bridge connectivity to begin with.

I am actually glad they sold out. Gives time for the first wave to come in and get some reviews posted. Then I will know if it is worth the cash burn.

Have been waiting for so long so hopefully another 2 weeks is a real time frame... And at least they are now not charging us shipping.. Which was crazy to begin with... (Maybe Homedepot / Lowes will get stock before then)

$16 to ship it to VA. What a ripoff. I will wait until Amazon has it.

I finally broke down and just bought it. Guess my dallying paid off! Just got this email:

Dear Chamberlain Customer:

Our records indicate that you recently purchased a MyQ® Home Bridge from Chamberlain.com. Due to extremely high demand for this new product, we are temporarily out of stock. Please be assured that we are working as fast as we can to fulfill your order and that we expect your MyQ Home Bridge to ship within the next 1 - 2 weeks or as soon as more inventory is available. We appreciate your business and we are excited to make you one of the first owners of our new Apple HomeKit compatible product.

Sincerely,

That's a nice come up for the free shipping.

I wonder when the Liftmaster branded version will release. I'm surprised they didn't have stock of both.

Doesn’t really matter as the Chamberlain one works with both LiftMaster/Chamberlain.

So I received my MyQ Home Bridge today. I made an imgur album here to show what comes in the box and how the setup works. I had it installed and working within 10 or 15 minutes. It was very, very easy. I still have to drill a couple holes to put the wall mount up, but that won't be a big deal.

I like that the HomeKit pairing code is on the hub hardware and on the quick start guide. The more places, the better, in my opinion.

The HomeKit part of it worked exactly like I expected, and I was able to use Siri to give commands to just the garage door, or use the garage door as one accessory in a scene. Everything works beautifully.

Thanks for the post. I have the MyQ Internet Gateway. Is that what you replaced? Thanks

Ordered mine earlier this past Wednesday and got a email stating is was on back order now.

Quick question:

Does this new module replace the gateway that is installed on my router right now? Or do I have to have both?

I have a Liftmaster 8363 with MyQ

It replaces the internet gateway.
But keep in mind that if you want to access HomeKit devices while not on your home wifi (like when you're out of the house), you'll need an apple TV or an iPad always on to act as a home hub.

That's only true for Siri usage, no?

They charged my card Monday an it has not shipped yet

I have a processing charge from 8/16 (ordered 8/9), but the price includes shipping which they promised I would not be charged in their order-delayed email... We'll see what happens there...
