The most interesting: they are a new model, it seems, will have less capacity and is cheaper.
There's nothing unique or interesting about that.

Whenever Apple continues to offer the previous model of an iPhone after introducing a new one, the previous model is in the lowest capacity and cheaper than originally priced. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the iPhone 3GS come in 16 GB minimum configurations at launch, and it was only after the iPhone 4 that the 8GB version was released. Which would make this upcoming event a complete repeat of what happened last year.

Uh...and removed the aluminum case with a flat back for a plastic case with a rounded back? Do you not recall this????
I do remember that the backing changed, and it might have gotten thinner, not sure, but they were pretty superficial. They were changes that were not worth remembering.

Everything but the face changes and it's only superficial? You've lost it buddy.

I could have changed it more with a new cover.

Cover? What cover?

If you mean the face, even the current iPhone 4 uses the same face. So the same percentage of the iPhone that changed from the 3GS to the 4 changed from the original to the 3G.

Once again, I never said it was nationwide. I said Korea had it.

You do realize that Seoul is part of Korea, correct? And if Seoul has LTE, then Korea has LTE? Right?

If you want to say every square inch of the country is covered, then you'd have to leave out 3G as well.

The point is, while LTE is not exactly ubiquitous, it's more widely spread than you originally stated and it's growing quickly.

I consider a country to mean the whole of a country, if I mean a city I will state a city. So I am still right, and 3G coverage is very widespread, you don't often have to move to get a 3G signal in the majority of places. But also nearly every city and town has 3G, where as in Korea one city has LTE. Hardly enough to state an entire country has it is it?
Don't expect LTE of 4G in tomorrows iPhone, and even though I'm happy with it I expect Apple will loose sales if they don't increase the screen size, people seem to have settled on 4" being the standard?

I'm starting to understand the confusion.

The original iPhone 4 is the N90AP iPhone 3,1 GSM
Then came along the CDMA Version N92AP 3,3

The listed phone in iTunes is the N94AP 4,1 aka the "4S"
It is referred to in the plist file as a CDMA phone .

What is not listed in the plist file is my postulation :

The "N96AP" 4,2 aka iPhone 5 GSM

From this I will say there is no "universal SIM" nor will the new iPhone run on any carrier.

The icons in iTunes are generic placeholders. iTunes is still a beta.

dam dude good observation, everything just started to make scene. Now we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next 24 hrs and 5 mins :D

Here's how it will go down. The most straightforward way for apple to increase ASPs in the next year is the following strategy. Higher revenue. Higher profit margins. The following prices are with a 2-year contract, of course.

iPhone 4 8Gb- free. Available Oct.

iPhone 4 16GB- $99. Available Oct.

iPhone 4S 16Gb- $199. Available Oct.

iPhone 4S 32Gb- $299. Available Oct.

iPhone 5 32Gb- $399. Available Nov. (stomp on Kindle Fire launch)

iPhone 5 64Gb- $499. Available Nov. (stomp on Kindle Fire launch)

Looks like someone copy-pasted my post:

If they really do update the iPhone with new processor, RAM and couple of other goodies as well as lower the starting price, I will be plenty impressed!!! :D

4S = N90A resembles iPhone 4, antennagate is improved, processor for Assistant is installed, work on CDMA/GSM.
5 = N94 is a new design, has 8MP camera, processor for Assistant is installed, works on CDMA/GSM.

I was exactly 50% correct.
