The bold fonts don't match the rest of iOS, and are only used because the backgrounds are just plain white with no dividers/colors.

They left that "Showing only music on this iPhone" banner on there to annoy people who don't use the Cloud/Apple Music.

I get the feeling Apple is trying to guide everyone down a certain usage path.

I know a lot of people do not like the bigger font however I do see a positive in it. Easier to navigate through and see your music if your driving or busy with something else and need to quickly scan through and find the right item.

Yea I know you should use your phone while driving, but don't act like you don't lol

Is it anywhere close to being a feature rich as Spotify yet? Can I use my phone app to control all other devices running apple music?

I have iOS 10 on one of my phones. The Music App is absolute garbage! The "For You" tab feels neutered to the bone and provides a fraction of the content from iOS 9's "For You" tab. The only good part of the last Music App was the "For You" tab, because it created so much artist delivery. This new version of "For You" is going to limit your discovery of new artists by over minimizing of the media on the screen and less content in general.

The entire app feels like an over processed news app with is over sized paper font letters and plainness. The entire app looks like is was written with headline font.

I find using the App to be very annoying. I feel like I"m using some moron's app. I keep looking in settings for "Advanced Mode" hoping I'll stumble across it and this nightmare of a gutted crap app will be somehow magically fixed with a toggle switch..... If this app does not change, I will NOT be installing iOS 10.

If I did the primary reason why I love Apple Music will be gone.

Read the article, not seen the video yet (data). Any word on how iTunes music is handled yet? I've no interest in any music subscription service and my 10 year old library with oh so many playlists is getting worried.
Oh, you thought you actually owned that music, in perpetuity? My guess is Apple will pull another screw job on its music customers in line with the previous screwings administered for users of Final Cut, Aperture, the iOS Office and photo apps, etc. Tim Cook's Apple doesn't give a flip what you did for them in the past -- they want money on the table right now.

why does it take a whole ****ing new iOS update to get this
Seriously! I think its time for Apple Music top stop being an iOS feature (since it's already on android and iTunes) and start to be an app of its own that we can get regularly updated on. While I like the director they are taking this in, I'm really not sure if a yearly update will suffice since all the competitors are constantly improving.

Still can't get past the size of the fonts, they look so out of place in that app.
It's like the default headers in Word, just black and red instead of light blue.

Looks like their news app. I wonder how I will tell the difference.
iOS 11: "Now we've conveniently placed Connect music updates in your News feed. It's a revolutionary new way to ignore this feature."

I had tons of old playlists, too. Never had any problem integrating the two once I switched to Apple Music. This version just seems to clean up some interface issues/inconsistencies.

My library situation is that I have film and game soundtracks, unreleased albums/soundtracks by friends, live recordings, stuff that generally isn't on Apple's services. It's starting to look like Apple doesn't want me to have that, but would rather I subscribe to their service.

I'm sure there will be some iTunes to iPhone music app in the future, and maybe there's an Android solution.

Is there a way to make it so all your Apple Music is downloaded for offline use like Spotify?
Yup just download it to your phone

iOS 10 introduces an all new Apple Music experience and a redesigned Music app, which is aimed at making it easier for users to find new content to listen to. As seen in the video below, the new look of the Music app focuses on album art with a bright, simple aesthetic featuring big, bold headlines and lots of white space.

At WWDC, Apple execs said the redesigned app was meant to bring "greater clarity and simplicity to every aspect of the experience."

Along with a bolder look, the Music app features the following tabs: "Library," "For You," "Browse," "Radio," and "Search." Gone is the "Connect" tab that allowed for direct access to the built-in social networking service where fans can follow artists, but Connect posts continue to show up in the "For You" section of Apple Music.

The Library portion of the Music app houses songs saved from Apple Music and previously owned music, with a new section that makes it much clearer which songs have been physically downloaded on a device. For You includes a better mix of music and new daily playlists, while Browse features curated playlists and top charts.

The search feature searches through both Apple Music content and each user's own personal library, and "Radio" tab is largely unchanged with access to Beats 1 radio shows. Apple Music in iOS 10 also has a new focus on lyrics, and for many songs, lyrics can be accessed by scrolling up from the album art when content is playing.

Apple Music design changes introduced in iOS 10 have also been expanded to macOS Sierra and tvOS 10, both of which feature a new look and the same new features.

So which MIT Media Lab alumni or La-La Land graphic artist quit so this more down-to-earth design could ship?

I was about to say, these must be a bunch of 18 year-olds complaining about big fonts. I'll admit that being older makes it harder to see stuff, but I have a holder that puts my phone just below the rearview mirror and sometimes, trying to interact with the tiny interface elements is a nightmare.

"Focuses on album art" ?? When they cannot even get the album art correct? So now wrong album art will be front and center? I just added the Beatles Love album released just this week to my music, and the cover art is for Abbey Road. When I added Abbey Road months ago, the art was for Beatles 1. So annoying. That Eddy Cue guy should be fired at this point. Going back to Spotify...

What I mean is Spotify has a switch which downloads all your music and any more music you add later on automatically where Apple Music you have to go out of your way to download each song.

Apple Music does that now , I had to disable that mode because I didn't want every song download to my phone
