It's not as if Apple is setting a high bar for sound reproduction in the first place.
Considering most of the music these days is compressed for streaming, why even bother with high quality reproduction?

The W1 is overblown. There is barely any additional convenience and it has way too many issues (disconnecting, not connecting automatically, have to turn Bluetooth on and off) that counter it’s strengths.

Without the handoff/ease of the W1?

No.

Same sound as AirPods?

Yes.

I think you could apply that to pretty much everything else in this world...

Uh, not really.
Yeah, you're right. That was a poor choice of words on my part.

I was merely trying to counter with the fact that there's been a lot of other products out there that have all experienced their share of being overblown. Not to defend, just to, I dunno, converse?

Why is this even promoted?
I’m not against a cheaper alternative but stealing other’s inventions is just ... stealing.

To put it another way: ‘I know a genuine Panaphonics when I see it...’ (Homer J. Simpson)

they probably do this because MR will never get any invites from apple for anything, ever.

Then please put your money where your mouth is and get outta here.

RFLMAO. I would also agree with a previous poster...the times I tried to go with a cheaper non-Apple device (e.g. Rio Karma, Dell Inspiron/Optiplex laptop/desktop, Nvidia Shield TV, etc.) I have had quality/hardware/software issues that I could not live with. I saved a significant amount of money but I realized in the long run it was not worth it for me. I personally got better value from the Apple devices because they lasted longer and I could oftentimes get additional value by reselling the devices or getting credit for them in promos. Also, I had the option to pass them along to grateful family members. Nobody really wanted any of my non-Apple devices.

I currently own nearly every type of Apple device as follows and have not had ANY quality issues up to this point: Mac mini (2012) & accessories, MBP 13in (2016) with Touch Bar, iPhone 7+, iPad 2018 (w/1st gen Pencil), Apple Watch 3 & AirPods. It would seem that there are definitely a number of forum members who have had serious issues with Apple devices considering the snide and bitter posts I've seen. That's really unfortunate. I'm not sure why these people can't just let it go and be happy with the alternatives they found. Life is too short to criticize and mock a company that has no effect on your life if you have an alternative option that you feel has better value.

Please note that I'm not a psychiatrist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn :)

Neki?... Fresher?!?!?!? Are these actual Chinese Brands or are they just knocking off names for these products?

Why I’m leaving Apple and it’s overpriced ********. See trash can Mac Pro. Stop falling for it.
Were you dating?
I too was not aware this member was in that kind of relationship with the company. Was he also aware it was cheating on him with millions of other people including me?

It Amazes me to see the extent some of these Chinese manufacturers will literally emulate Apple’s products to almost an exact replica. There was even an ‘Knock-off’ Apple Watch that was even very similar to Apples, it just goes to show you how sought after Apples designs are in terms of appeal and popularity.

As a company, it's nice when all you do is need to copy. And not needing to shoulder the cost of innovation.
