I worked a short shift today, management trying to get the hours down, and I did one preorder for an i6. Apparently Best Buy isn't doing pre orders for the i6+

Awesome! We have a Best Buy EXPERT here...are they going to have 6+ for in-store release then? Is Easy Pay the same as the new iPhone for life thing sprint has?
Our stores are for sure getting some AT&T 6 Plus in. If I gave you an amount.. It would be pure speculation.
The 6+ should be available at the stores but quantity will be pretty limited. And Easy Pay is Sprint's version of the installment billing. You pay taxes up front for the phone and then you'll see a device charge on your bill. You can upgrade every year as well. The iPhone 4 Life thing is a tad bit different. I am ready to have UNLIMITED data and sounds like a good deal to me for $70/month for that. I was just ready to get away from the steep prices of Verizon. Great service but high prices
Yeah Verizon is awesom but they're not exactly cheap lol. And of course Big Red doesn't offer the unlimited data plan anymore. Before switching to Sprint though, I would do a coverage check and make absolute sure that you'll get service in your area. I've had customers before who'd buy a phone from one of my coworkers, only to return it....and I'm like "well why did you return it" and their answer is "Sprint doesn't work in my area"
just got back from radioshack. ordered a 6+ gold 128gb that will be available to me next friday, but i didn't have to pay the $50.
any idea why?
In my only experience,no.I was called the day prior to release day and told to come in and get my phone tomorrow. I was the only 1 there picking up a phone. The store didn't get many at all. was fortunate and many others were not,judging by the responses last year. When you leave a deposit,they will tell you what # you are for that particular phone.

And to address the $50 nonrefundable card issue, many folks were initially told no refund was available.If you check back here on MacRumers 1-2 weeks after release, you will see that RS mgmt. relented & indeed refunded the $50. I remember it specifically.

Not sure, The guy said whatever RS got was to be distributed through all stores nationwide but according to their pre-orders. He did tell me that I needed to get that $50 RS gift card too lol. I said if you could guarantee me a 6+ on the 19th I would but they were out. Oh well.
If you want the phone from RadioShack, you need to go back tomorrow morning. A $50 GC must be sold or that phone won't be sent to the store. It definitely is possible the model of your phone may not be available for preorder anymore, so be prepared for that.

Where did you see that? Is on your receipt? I can't find a ship date on my receipt. Can you post a pic please?
Sorry, I should have been a little more specific. Will they allow customers to buy Verizon iPhone 6 off contract on release date?
First off Southernboyj thank you for being active on this thread I have been reading your posts carefully and they are helpful.
I live in San Diego, CA and I went in on the 12th waited till they opened and I was the first person in the store. Went to preorder and was told they were sold out. I wanted iphone 6 plus 64 gb but would take any color any size. The manager at the store called me 3 hours later telling me to come back in. I did and she took my $50 cash and said she would pre order it first thing the morning of the 13th. Called in later in the day and she told me she can't preorder it but will be able to on Monday. And is somehow guaranteeing I will get it on the 19th. Is this something that sounds possible or normal? I don't know if I should get my $50 bucks back and wait till the 19th and try my luck or just wait and see if it works out.

Did they give it to you in a gift card? When I went today I was told that the $50 gift card is non refundable.
I only dropped $50 bucks off with the manager as she was waiting to be able to pre order the phone I want. Once it came up for her or whatever she would use the cash to buy the gift card and pre order together.
