Did not believe they actually had a 7+ in Jet Black, but sure enough they did. Maybe I got lucky. You can check target inventory here: http://www.target.com/c/-/-/N-4skd2?type=products

Edit: 9/29 - There are several stores near me now that now have the JB 128gb in stock.

See here: http://www.target.com/p/-/A-51635059?lnk=search zip 11042 as an example.
You're in NHP? I grew up there and lived there when I first got married, I live not too far from there now! Haha small world. I got lucky yesterday and got a 7 PLUS matte black, 128 gb from Target Levittown. I was checking everyday and finally got lucky.

When you checked, they had in every configuration? Like ATT/Verizon/TMo/Sprint? That inventory checker on Target doesn't let you choose a specific one...

This is exactly what I was asking about doing...seems like it can be done. BUT the sales associate at Target better be right that there's a JB 7+ in the right configuration available or the whole plan goes to crap SMH.

I talked to an associate at Target that said he would hold the phone for 1 hour for me since I will be phone-less in between the Apple store and Target...

I actually used the inventory checker and then called. The girl (manager) in Levittown is a sweetheart and checked that she had AT&T. While I was there picking up the phone she must have fielded 10 calls from people looking for iPhones. She handled every one of them very nicely. So your best bet is look for stock, if they have stock call and make sure it is the one you're looking for and then call the store and ask them to hold it for you.

Awesome. To the batphone! lol
[doublepost=1475159861][/doublepost]FYI queens place has but only for pre-orders at the moment. If they don't pick up in 2 days, they will release them

Wow. I put my name on a waiting list the Friday the phone came out.
Got a call today that a 7+ black 128 came in and its mine if I want.
Went there and the guy brings out an all black box.
Can't believe I scored a JB without even really trying.

So they tack on $50 like Best Buy? But I'm curious, does the 5% off work with their RedCard? Could negate the stupid $50 fee if it almost saves you sales tax.

This is exhausting and it's not even for myself. LOL. I would get it for myself but I'll wait til next year when they offer the color and it's more scratch-resistant.

I am patiently waiting for my guy to start his shift at 12pm... Hope they didn't sell all of the devices this AM.

Price match is you're friend. use it.
Don't think that would work if they actually make the $50 extra an additional "fee" since the price of the phone is still technically the same as Apple etc. Or am I wrong?

I got the email yesterday that my 7 plus Jet Black is ready for pick up. Now to decide if I want to trade in my Jet Black 7 or not...considering buying the plus out right and just popping my sim card in for a test drive.

They are not allowed to price match prices of phones.

"Can I price match or request a price adjustment on my cell phone?
Price adjustments and price matching are not permitted with cell phones."

I'm actually in East Meadow but work in NHP. I got my JB 7+ from Levittown target on Wednesday. Your're right, small world!

This doesn't tell you if it's ATT, Verizon, TMo or Sprint tho...hmm.

I'm on ATT and was given Model A1661. I checked on Apple's website and that seems to be the model that supports CDMA and GSM. So at the end of the day, I THINK that they must only be selling the models that support GSM AND CDMA, and just putting them on whatever carrier the customer uses.

Edit: See here as well for more information: https://www.macrumors.com/2016/09/08/att-and-tmobile-iphone-7-models-lack-cdma/

Actually, this is a good thing if you are on ATT as I think having a model that supports both GSM (ATT) and CDMA (Verizon and Sprint) makes the phone have a bit more value if you go to sell.
