I'll wait for the 6s, I always skip the non S versions. Historically the S is the fixed version.

that's funny, I alway thought the none S version fixed the previous one!

3g fixed useless edge, 4 fixed the bad display on the 3gs, and the 5 was a slightly larger 4s on a diet and the 6 finally addressed the little iPhone display.

I am not eligible for an upgrade or even an early upgrade so I have to pay full price. My question is will I have to sign a new 2 year contract because apparently it has to be done using my AT&T account.

I made 5-layer cardboard cut-outs of both phone and compared them with my 5.

My cost for a 128gb 6+ on AT&T is $749 with a renewal of a 2 year contract or 20 payments $47.45 that totals $949... No brainer.

You DO realize that the cost per month is $15 or $25 higher on a 2 year contract vs. buying it outright and not being on contract?

$25 a month for contracts 6 gig or less, $15 a month for contracts 10 gig or higher.

So, your $749 is actually $749 + (15 x 24 = 360) = $1099, or $749 + (25 x 24 = 600) = $1349.

A no-brainer in the opposite way than you were thinking.

Not sure if anyone here really wants to jump carriers over the iPhone but for what it's worth, T-Mobile is having another "Un-Carrier" announcement in 40 minutes for some new incentive.

Interesting. I have been thinking about switching so lets see what they come up with.

Question for anyone who has preordered an iPhone before: is it possible to set a shipping address that's different than the address on my AT&T account? My AT&T account has a Maryland address, but I'm in Massachusetts now and would rather the phone get shipped straight to me...

Last year, with my new 5s, it could only be shipped to my dad's address since I am on a family plan. But, it was sent via UPS, so I simply signed up for UPS MyChoice, and using the tracking number, had it reroutd to my house in a different state. I think it cost $1.99 to change the delivery address.

i just printed it and i do not think it is accurate. the 4.7" is only a little big bigger then my 5S. The 5.5" seems to be a great size if these are real.

UPDATE: i just broke out the tape measure and compared the size to the specs from apple's website (http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6) and the images are smaller then what the actual phone is. it is such a great idea its just not accurate.

Mine is accurate, I even used a digital caliper :p

AT&T Next is a ****ing joke for sucker who can't count.

Not with their new contracts it isn't.

You're a sucker NOT to be using AT&T Next.

If you've got a 10gig plan like I do, I pay $25 LESS per month using AT&T Next vs. going for a 2-year contract. My bill is $600 LESS than going on a 2-year contract. That makes my $650 phone only $50 - not $200.

i'm in the same boat as you! i just know that it will be sold out if i wait till the 19th.

Not if we all agree to wait. Then there will be enough to go around on the 19th :)

In all seriousness, I was considering just buying the 5.5, and returning it if it was indeed too large. However, as the excitement wears off, I'm realizing that waiting to try them out might just be a much smarter option. I might need to wait a month, but it could end up being a lot less hassle.

I also took a picture of the Plus in my back pocket, where I usually keep my phone. This is without a case, which I use. My feeling is it's just too big.

So torn. I may wait and look at them both in-person to make my decision. Although, I want to pre-order on Friday. #FirstWorldProblems

I have a question. I'm under my dads Verizon account. Can I switch my iPhone which still has a year of contract left to his number (which doesn't have a active contract), so my number will be free for an upgrade?

Next is just the wave of the future for carriers. Subsidies are going the way of the dodo.

That would be fine if they didn't include the subsidy charge in my monthly bill: i.e. I got a discount for owning the phone outright. But they want to charge you twice. Bend over!

Please explain? Whether I sign a two year contract with AT&T or use my own phone, my monthly bill stays the same. $40 for voice, $30 for unlimited data, $10 for unlimited messaging.

As much as I am looking forward to upgrading my 4S. I'm going to wait until to end of September or start of October. I don't want to risk have any first batch manufacturing defects and I don't like the big rush and back orders.

I'll live until I can casually walk into an Apple Store and pick one up, but I'm glad for all of you who get a launch day device, it must be exciting. :)

I couldn't of said it any better myself. But I will be waiting until the factory unlocked 6's are available online for pickup at a DE Apple Store, so I avoid any sales taxes. I know I can pick up a Verizon or T-Mobile 6 at launch, but I'd rather wait until the madness dies down first.

Should I be worried that I am not seeing the option to pay full price? I bought my iPhone 5s on launch date last year.... But I would think you are eligible to buy at full price any time no matter what.

whats the deal with unlocked iphones in the US buying straight from the apple store or ordering online? In canada we would be able to get the unlocked phone from first day of launch. at the full 649$ price. Last time i looked into it i remember around the time of the i4 the US got the unlocked phones much later for some reason. months later i think. is it still the same? or can we order unlocked i6 from apple store on the 12th for the full price?

On AT&T even if you are still on a 2 year contract if you switch to a mobile share plan you will be eligible for their NEXT plan. Assuming you aren't currently using next on that particular line.

Live blog is here: http://live.cnet.com/Event/T-Mobiles_Uncarrier_70_event

Hopefully it's something iPhone related since they're obviously riding the hype wave, having an announcement the very next day.

T-Mobile really hasn't been bad for me. The data is great even here in Michigan. You just hit literal dead zones where calls will drop. On my drive home, I can predict exactly where I'll lose a call.

And where can you find these? The only thing you can see from their website is that they are going to bill you monthly for the full cost of the phone eventually, and it looks like you have to turn in the phone. So I'm paying full price and I have to give it back?
