It is absolutely appalling that people think some lunatic in charge of a nation can have a say in another countries businesses, and that doesn't just go for the USA. Way too much chest beating going on.
If Microsoft buys TikTok, that is literally the opposite of theft.
I'm completely against it because with this stupid logic you can ban any app anywhere in the world.
This China / World fight is so much more behind the scenes than the trivial Trump - TikTok riftEconomic fascism![]()
There is probably a law, or a lot of laws, somewhere out there in the Racketeering circle that say you can't use political influence to strong-arm a company into selling to the bidder of your choice.what is illegal about one company buying another?
china talking about theft is pretty rich.
schumer did not do what you are misleading people.
schumer objects to the TSA using Tiktok.
quote from yr link
Schumer said: "Given the widely reported threats, the already-in-place agency bans, and the existing concerns posed by TikTok, the feds cannot continue to allow the TSA's use of the platform to fly.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire. I don't believe there'll be as much change as people might think. Until such time as people are willing to feel a little bit of pain and accept some personal responsibility the status quo will remain pretty much as is.Then let the Chinese Communist Party explain why the US should have ever passively accepted their ban on Twitter and Facebook within China. Long past time to complete the decoupling and reorient our supply chains towards India and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

What’s illegal is the Us forcing another countries company to sell to the US
Yeah but I don’t recall China ever forcing a highly successful US company to sell itself to China.
How so? China has banned many US companies from operating business in China. They don’t let any US citizen invest in real estate in China but they can come here as they please and buy all of our property. Is obvious China is about China first so the US should do the same.China is right.
Banning is one thing. But saying "you are out, unless you sell to us"...is...just...wow. Basically mafiaThen let the Chinese Communist Party explain why the US should have ever passively accepted their ban on Twitter and Facebook within China. Can you tell me the code in which this is "illegal"?
No you are right. It’s no more illegal than China having laws forcing US companies to share their trade secrets

It’s nice that so many are itching to start a war with China but how many are willing to send their kids to die fighting them. Remember if your kid is 12 now in five years he or she will be old enough to go.
