So one website with no zoom? I constantly use the entire screen.
No, this is a design setting that Apple itself recommends. ie. A zoom in or a zoom out option. With the zoom out option, this happens, and it's a waste of space.

However, if you zoom in, the notch will block some parts of the page on some pages (but not all pages of course).

They're not really stealing your data. You're giving it to them willingly when you buy, use or sign up for a Google product. This is what Android users dont understand. Google isn't giving Samsung their operating system out of the goodness of their heart. When you use a Google service, you are the product that is being sold.
You should have a look at this instead of posting incorrect information, as usual.

Seems like you should be more aware of where you "think" your "privacy" is kept "safe".

A simple Google search would have helped you tremendously, before making such wrong accusations.

Plus I would rather share a few details about my life to have a GREAT assistant, than have a dumb, "smart" speaker who can't recognize individual people in my house.

You should work on your reading comprehension. Read my post again more carefully.

Google isn't getting the full value of the speaker from what you pay them. They get far more value from the data they acquire from you using it. That's the whole point of my post. Smart speakers don't cost $25. You're paying them in data value.

But your previous post was incorrect. They lost money selling their speakers, both Amazon and Google. You claim that both sell/mine your data, yet don't include Apple in that category, which the article I linked, clearly shows that Google has better privacy than Apple does. What does that mean? Apple can sell/share your data WITHOUT your permission, yet google must consent your permission in order to share your data. Maybe you need to work on reading comprehension more than I do.

HomePod Mini, Classic, Plus, Pro... suddenly I'm seeing the HomePod Pro as about the size of a 55-gallon oil drum, with a Serious subwoofer in the lower half. And when Siri answers, windows shatter.
Apple favors form over functionality. If they came out with a pro homepod, it wouldn't have 1/20th of the bass that one of the subs in my profile pic has. Btw, my subs can shatter windshields at the right frequency.

Good for you, I'm sure that comes in handy quite frequently. Thanks for letting us know.

I don’t see a lower priced iPad. The 2017 is really hitting a sweet spot at $329, not $349 BTW, even less on common deals. The most I could see would be a spec bump and the price remaining same. It is a solid lower tier model for customers who do not need the Pro features.

The current MacBook is a bit underwhelming and starts at $1300 so I'm sort of frightened to see Apple's version of an $800 MBA. I'm trying to temper my expectations.

And remove the only advantage the HomePod has, the audio?

Nobody wants it for Siri, not unless Siri is magically improved this year.

Actually, this makes sense if the idea is to expand HomePod as the center of an audio entertainment system. With the sub built into the HomePod, there's no reason for two full range speakers for stereo. Two smaller satellite speakers would make for great stereo separation for directional cues, while the big HomePod fills in the soundstage. I could even imagine buying four mini-HPs for a 5.1 surround setup.

Small does not necessarily mean low quality.

iPad sales have been flat.

Apple already updated the form factor with the 10.5" iPad Pro. The effects have been marginal, so it's time to pull the price lever again.

Well when you have a company ignoring preferences to get to your data I wouldn't call it giving.

Some stuff here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_and_privacy_issues?wprov=sfti1

Don't know if the incident where they ignore safari preferences is there.

Pixel? Huh? Like the phone? Pixel Speaker? You do realize Pedro was incorrect in his post, and I corrected that already, right? Google and Amazon, both lost money selling their smart devices, yet they still manage to make Siri the laughing stock of technology.

Yes. Nexus series was priced just right considering Google greed on data.

Google loses money on hardware? Ok... you didn't correct anything. They are an ad company. So they lose money on hardware. The info they get outa you is more money to them.

So that makes them better or worse than Apple? Because Apple doesn't let its users choose what information is shared/sold/mined, yet cost more money than what manufacturers charge for Android products. Check out the link I shared earlier, or better yet, I'll post it again.

HomePod's problem is not its price. It's Siri, and that's a big problem.

No, the real problem is that it's like the first-gen iPhone: what it ships with is what you get. Where are the apps? Where's the ecosystem? Where's the SDK for developers? The day you can download Duolingo, or a storytelling app, or a text adventure or an ambient noise machine... that's the day I'll jump onboard.

For now, it's got a couple of basic tricks and that's it. Hell, even Apple's "hobby" Apple TV has third-party apps and games at this point.

What is more affordable than a macbook air? What i want is an Affordable iPhone that becomes a laptop or iPad, something on the lines of Razer Project Linda. https://www.razerzone.com/projectlinda
Something which only Apple can really pull off due to its tight software integration technical similarities in OS frameworks , the fastest most powerful desktop class arm processors and with the recent rumors of Marzipan, only apple can deliver a reasonable hardware and software combo.

Something like this would be pretty cool: https://www.theverge.com/2017/3/23/15034344/apple-iphone-ipad-laptop-dock-patent

This is the precursor to that:

https://www.sentio.com/

And there is another Android solution that was shown off earlier that looks just like the Apple one.

BTW, back in the day, Apple developed Home on iPod which basically let you take your home user account anywhere you wanted on your iPod for use with any Mac.

Siri on my HomePod works fine for my needs. I go to the store to buy teepee paper.

Oh and HomePod does not let out a creepy laugh for no reason like the echo.

If you actually believe that, I have land to sell you.
[doublepost=1520462863][/doublepost]I am hoping for a new HomePod. People here need something new to rag about before they buy one.

If there is a cheaper HomePod it will end up being a companion one to go with an existing HomePod for a less expensive stereo pair (vs. using two regular HomePods). Which would mean it would likely be the same size as the existing HomePod and sound identical. It would lack the Siri features.

If Apple is working on such a companion HomePod it would TOTALLY explain why they haven't released the stereo pair software yet. It makes almost no sense that Apple didn't release the stereo pair feature WITH the original HomePod. A second companion HomePod would definitely explain it.
