I'd be more than happy to wait until 2057 for another film about Steve Jobs.
So if it comes out you feel obligated to watch it now? I didn't watch the one with Kutcher because I had no desire to. It might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned. You are free to do likewise should one with Bale come out in the next few years.

Here's the best photo I've found to compare the two:

Christian Bale or Keanu Reeves would be perfect. Bale is by far the better actor, but they both have a commanding presence and sense of gravitas.

Good choice, I think he would do a good Jobs
Pun intended

Keanu Reeves has a sense of gravitas? Compared to a surfboard, maybe

While I thought "Jobs" wasn't that hot at least Ashton Kutcher resembled Steve Jobs. Christian Bale? Really?

With this new movie, more official or no, I think I'll be saying "who's this guy supposed to be again"?

Kutcher resembling Jobs (especially compared to Bale)? I guess people really can see different things when looking at the same thing.

I still want Ed Harris.

I like Bale, but Harris has the depth required. If you've seen him in Pollock, you know he's the one to play a complex character like Steve Jobs.

Bale is the "Hollywood choice" to bring in the Batman audience, but nobody becomes a character like Harris. Maybe Depp if you think Harris is too old and Depp still has the fire to prove himself.

I just hope fans aren't expecting too much from Sorkin. The Social Network had the merest acquaintance with the facts of that tale, and the Isaacson biography is not noted for its grasp of the technological. Witty Sorkin may be, but Sorkin is unlikely to 'get' the facts or the technology. What Sorkin does best is politics, and Steve Jobs was the very antithesis of politics.

Does he really need to resemble Steve? Kutcher was a close match but he did a crappy job. As long as Bale have better acting I really don't care how he looks as long as he is wearing black turtlenecks and round wire rims.

I don't care that much about his resemblance but the story seems to make a lot of mentions about he uncanny resemblance. As if we all knew it for years and finally someone is getting Bale to play the role he was meant to. Feels like Holllywood ******** meets Apple fanboy dreams.

Certainly various facial features (beyond just facial hair or color of the skin) are far from nothing alike and are actually similar enough that with some makeup Bale can very likely pull of Jobs quite well.

Well I **do** believe if anyone can pull it off during production Bale would be one of them. If not in complete appearance, its in the acting.

He takes his acting and getting into the character WAY too serious...

I want current era movie..not some bs back to the future days.
What does that mean exactly? The movie simply about the last few years of Jobs life (and even then it's already years behind where we are currently)?

exactly i what I said...late SJ days...not early 70s..crap.

How many movies are there of other people who passed away or are even still alive (or even fictional characters who don't exist)? That's not really how movies work.

I apologize for wondering why we need so many Jobs movies just a few short years after his death. Your logic is flawless.
