Seriously..wasnt "jobs" enough? I actually found it quite entertaining. Nothing i would pay for at the cinema though.

In the end no matter how much drama you try and squeeze out of Steve Jobs unpredictable and eccentric persona along with his achievements, its not really movie material is it. There are other life storys that are much more fascinating and also entertaining, imo.

Every Steve Jobs movie will fail on a commercial level however fanboys and bale-fans might download it for a hung over sunday afternoon (their girlfriends will not watch it with them).

Get a Swiss/Syrian actor, please! :)

Maybe they should get someone who has Swiss/Syrian -genes. I think Christian Bale looks just too british. And really those Syrian features are what makes Steve Jobs look so charismatic (and I know he was raised by Armenian-American parents, but that doesn't affect your biological looks). The actor wouldnt' have to be Syrian, just an actor with some genes from the middle-east could be fine.

Well, you'd still have to find someone, who would look like him, and who could actually act, but I'm sure there are a lot of half middle-eastern/half european actors trying to make it in Hollywood...

But, then again. Maybe it doesn't matter, what the actor looks like, if he/she can really act. But for some reason all those Jesus-movies, where "caucasian" actors try to be (the most probably) middle-eastern jewish guy, they just feel so fake.

Getting some un-known actor would make the movie fail even harder than with Christian Bale in it, since then truly nobody would give a **** about it.

Kutcher's "Jobs" was a rushed and poorly researched money grab in my opinion. It was painful to watch and did a disservice to Jobs and Apple's legacy.

The same could be said of Walter Walter Isaacson's biography.

Good choice. Not only Bale resembles Jobs visually (not strongly, but enough), he's also one of the absolutely best male actors today, imo.

Steve after Launching the iPod.. :p

Benefit of getting Bale to play the role is he can lose the weight at the end like Jobs did.

Another fail...
Yup, something that hasn't happened is certainly a fail. Not only that but it's another Apple fail too because they have a lot to do with this and have had a lot of fails these days.

Not another movie about Steve Jobs
Yeah, there have clearly just been way too many of those.

Something like even less interesting and probably less known life of Zuckerberg would be a total failure too as a movie, right?

Unfair comparison. Zuckerberg is in his prime and the movie comes just as facebook maxes out. People apparently want to know how the hell that happened. I personally couldn't care less. The drama behind the creation of Facebook is even less thrilling then that of apple.

Maybe im ignorant, but i feel force fed all the greatness of apple. It just feels too far back. We all know the story. Whatever.

As much as I admired Jobs and his work/vision, I don't think I'm alone and probably with 99% of the population that won't be rushing to see this.

That said the social network was quite a good film so I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Trent Reznor to score?

The movie will not cover that aspect of Jobs' life. I believe it's only up until the iPod.

How do you know that?

For what I heard from one of the latest interviews to Wozniak in YouTube he infers the script is being written as the people that were around Steve Jobs are interviewed.

Steve Wozniak: Ashton Kutcher Could Have Called Me

Ashton Kutcher's movie was until the iPod, and it was bad.

I don't think that too many people went to see The Social Network because it was specifically about about Facebook/Zuckerberg. This may be a bit different because Jobs' name will be in the title.

B

I wonder if there will even be Jobs' name in the title. It might do better without it. "Reality Distortion" for instance.
