Cassette tapes- DEE EE AYE DEE format...

sure cassette is dead becuase it was replaced by CD's which offered higher quality and storage options

cd's were replaced with flash based players which offered equal quality and larger storage in a smaller package.

what has replaced Bluray? what has higher quality? what offers more storage?
again with SD, what small portable format that fits into phones and other mobile devices offers faster cheaper storage?

you offer no facts or evidence to support your BS

I got this one.

Ok, I think the poster means retina display in the form of a quadrupled resolution display from the 3GS to the iPhone 4.

As for the rest of the marketing stuff concerning the technicalities of the display's dpi, I don't think he was talking about it.

So yes, I do think he even knows what a retina display is. Nice snark though.

4x the resolution of 1024x768 is 2048x1536, (786432 pixels x 4 = 3145728)
the IP4 screen is 3.5" the ipad is 10"

hence you need HIGHER than QXGA to be a "retina" display on a 10"

so wtf are you talking about again?

I don't need facts or evidence to support my first point that audio cassette tapes are a dead format.

I also don't need any facts or evidence to support my post that your reply to someone saying they wanted a retina display, asking them "if they even knew what a retina display was," was snarky and makes you sound like a dick. You provide the evidence and facts for that yourself.

iPhone handles that task quite well. Why would somebody prefer to carry the significantly larger (than the iPhone) iPad to perform that task?

I think you mean the iPod Touch 4. Why would you buy a phone to handle inventory?
