I'm buying it not because it looks feminism. I don't know much about how that buckle is used in fashion. I'm buying it because I like the thinner leather and the clasps. The other watches I have with leather bands don't wrap around my wrist easily. Instead of a nice circular shape, it's more of a U shape, with the case resting on top of the U.

When I tried it in the Apple Store, the guy told me there were 42 magnets inside that helps snaps it in together. I guess I'm paying for the engineering, and priced to the point where I don't really want to buy it. There are other things about it that I like so I'm willing to pay for it.

I like the SS link band, but I may not get it anytime soon, because of the price and my past experiences with link bands. I like link bands on certain occasions, but they're not very comfortable for me. They feel heavy, bulky, and rigid. I'm sure many will say link bands are masculine.

I'll be wearing the sports bands the most, and the modern buckle second, when I don't plan to sweat. I'm buying for comfort, not feminine vs masculine. The buckle sits on the bottom of the wrist where I usually don't look at, and it's easier to put on and remove than traditional buckles. I'm coming in blind without existing biases on the buckle design.
