I've never seen a cleaning cloth. I've had every phone since the 3G...
I’ve never seen one for iPhone or iPad either.

The MacBooks used to be supplied with an apple cloth thing. I had one years ago and remember it was extremely good quality, But yeah, Never heard of iPhone having anything similar.

Edit. This might be it..Mac, i mean.

Oh my. This has got completely out of hand. I don’t want a cloth. I don’t need a cloth. I don’t use a cloth. It was a random thought that crossed my mind as all my previous iPhones/iPads came with a cleaning cloth in the box.
Could we all move on now. Maybe we should spend our valuable time and save the world and stop buying all these resource hungry devices! And let’s not even start on about the packaging.
Perhaps Apple stopping to include a cloth with these devices, is actually their way of helping save the planet?
I have my tongue so far in my cheek now, it hurts.

Last time I received a cleaning cloth was with my iPod 5th gen.. A microfiber cloth cost close to nothing, not sure why it would make any difference in choosing a device from any manufacturer... Samsung doesn’t supply a cleaning cloth with their phones either. As far as a fast charger, charging a battery with high wattage decreases battery life.

Funny coincidence. I was looking for a cable for a camera to update the firmware and found a complete box/ are from a gen 2 iPod. It had the manual, earbuds AND A CLEANING CLOTH in it. But the thing was rolled up into a tiny roll. Those were really small, not much use. Probably cost more to make sure they got into the box than to produce them.

I don’t think you did get a cloth with these devices... Apple have never supplied a cleaning cloth with any iPad or iPhone. Maybe you got it with a case or something, or a third party seller but not from Apple.

Learned something new. Been buying Apple products since 2012. Never seen or heard of a cloth being provided. Always bought RadTech microfiber cloths designed for my MBP and used those. I get one with every new MBP or MBA I've bought (I only have 3). lol.

I'll be honest, if my $$$ Apple products came with a microfiber cloth, I'd be happy that they did. But, none of them ever have so I've bought my own. lol.

I got one with that ancient iPod. I’ll post a pic, just for fun.

Er what? How do you know what I got? Your country might not have got them, but we did.

Can't speak for MacBooks, but iMacs still include a cloth. Even refurbs.

SIM-free phones include an eject tool. If you're hard up for one, hit up the local Apple store. The floor personnel are armed with them, and can happily slip you one.

My MacBook Pro 2011 came with a cleaning cloth; do any Macs still come with cleaning cloths?

Otherwise, I've not seen a cleaning cloth supplied with any other Apple product.

There is also the universal eject tool. Works on CD/DVD drives as well. It's better known as the paper clip.

Cleaning cloths come with MacBooks. But, I think that's the only product to get one.

Use your shirt like 99.9% of Western Civilisation.
The problem with that is that clean shirts harbor detergent, which has a thin oily base. Then your body oils get involved. So when you use your shirt to do that, either for screens or glasses, you are wiping oil in minute amounts on the surface.

You get the opposite effect of what you want, even if it looks clean.

Using a dedicated microfiber cloth is a better alternative.

I remember the cleaning cloths that used to come with iPhone's, but it has been years since Apple stopped including them. I have enough microfiber cloths at home -- plus, I can easily buy a six pack of them on Amazon for under $5.

I just love the technicality behind your post, I was going to comment something identical about a shirt containing abrasives/oils from your hands/detergents, all of which can do more harm than actually ‘clean’ the display, but you nailed it.

I have the same concerns about MF cloths that people stick in odd places where they pick up dirt and lint - and the cloths are never cleaned. At some point it's got to be counter-productive, sort of like using very fine abrasive cloth on the display.

I believe Apple only did that on US carrier phones, since they already have their respective SIMs preinstalled. It might also be true in some other markets, but majority of iPhones worldwide that are SIM free have the SIM ejector still included in the box.
You're probably right about that; good thing I still have the SIM removal tool that came with my (purchased from AT&T) Apple iPhone 3G--LOL!

If not, you can get cloths with sunglasses. They‘re really not hard to come by.
Indeed LOL--I (can) use the ones that come included with my prescription Oakley glasses, plus the optomotrist shop I go to always throws in a few extra glass cleaning cloths on top of that.

Well I think that, if nothing else, we can all agree that the ubiquitous white Apple logo sticker is still included with every new Apple (iPhone) purchase...

Before we bit from the Apple tree fruit, we needed no cloth as we didn’t realize we were naked. But alas, once we bit 👹 🐍 of the fruit of the Apple, :apple: a cloth was sorely needed.😱

They did it here in the uk also.

Spent the first hour with 11 pro max desperately looking for anything that would fit before finding a sewing needle.
