You should actually use the device and not just assume things.

Again - try using it, not just reading articles. The screen is so much less washed out than the iPhone and doesn't have those yellow/blue tinge issues that so many have :)

- posted with my HTC Desire

That's a problem most of the users on this forum have.

Passing opinions off as fact. Passing opinions of others are their own first-hand experience. It's sad really.

That is YOUR personal experience. That does not make it FACT.

only ONE website I go to uses flash. LOCKERZ.. It's not really a big deal to me or a lot of people to not have flash. So bigger? the iphone is big enough , clearer screen. a clear screen is not worth features and other amazing things you can do with the iphone(especially jailbroken). Stop complaining on a mac forum and go to a nexus one forum and talk about how much you love it SIMPLE as that . good bye

You're right, my opinions are not fact.

I'm just saying that a larger, brighter, richer screen, a faster processor (for faster rendering), a larger screen res (so you can see more of the page at once - less panning around) and the option to enable flash in case you ever need it, usually makes for a batter web experience :)

It's like you're so besotted with your iPhone that you actually can't accept criticism of it - even valid criticism.

Hmm... How about, um... the, um... CONSUMERS???

Apple fanboys never cease to amaze me...

Okay so you have qualifications to design a mobile device like the iphone? Because if you do then by all means go ahead and design your own device. But you don't own apple. You have no right to tell a company how to design a product that they design.

The only thing you have a right to decide to do is to buy the iphone or find something that fits your needs. Just because we are consumers doesn't mean that we can dictate to apple how to make their products.

The same way i can't call GM or Ford and tell them i want feature X,etc.

Seems like your anti-apple sentiment is blocking your view of reality. Today there are so many choices that if you cant find something that works for you then you have the freedom to buy any product you want.

But don't you dare hold me or anyone else in this forum for liking the iphone the way it is and for being able to be rational about this.

Because you nor anyone else has a right to insult me or anyone else because of the products we like. So get over it.

Barack Obama knows what's best for all of us. That his job as well right?

So what exactly does this have to do with the OP's post? Hey you lost, get over it.

I would like to have flash.... Like others have said let ME worry about my battery life.

You're mising the point. Well, more like If point A is Seattle, Washington and point B is Las Vegas, Nevada.....you're in Burma.

Hey I like your analogy. When Ford was failing as a company for several years.....no make that roughly 10 years...did they not listen to their customers to redesign the face of their company? Did they not try and take hints from other successful car designs that....wait for it, wait for it....MADE THE CONSUMER HAPPY!??!!

I love this Apple cult stuff people eat up. I don't think most of the users in this forum are 100% anti-Apple. I think a lot of the users in this forum are starting to see where the company is heading and don't like it very much. Google is a gigantic corporation now and they are still pleasing their customers. Apple is like a god damned dictatorship of socialism and communism all mixed into one. Steve Jobs isn't the end all be all.

Edit: Also, I find it saddening that a lot of the younger generation seems to believe we can't make a difference and have our opinions/desires heard. Steve Jobs doesn't make Apple. We do.

No one is talking about dictating. We as consumers have every right to tell Apple that we want Mobile Safari to function like all other browsers: you know, to display common filetypes, including the most common multimedia filetype in use on the web: SWF.

(Apple even invites feedback on their website)

If it was Apple's job to protect me from battery draining apps, they'd limit my screen brightness, my 3G, and the many, many crap apps that drain the battery. But they don't--except with this one browser plug-in.

I've never used the nexus one but I have a desire, which is essentially the same thing with different software. The battery life on these phones improves after 6-7 charges, so if you didn't have your phone long you probably didn't get that far. If 3g didn't work that could have been a network or unit problem. I get 3g all the time.

As for push widgets - Android is still in its youth so this is something that could be added down the line.

I actually find the desire easier to use that my first iPhone because it has the features I expect it to have. I wasn't looking around trying to find out how to forward text messages or Bluetooth files.

You probably don't understand the multitasking because you don't notice it. If an app needs to carry on processing in the background it will do so, theres no need to inform the user of that :)
I recharged it about 10 times in the week i had it but the 3G problem was with all of them. In the end everyone has there own favorite phones and the iPhone has itunes and lots of apps and thats all i need. I use to want the widgets but they aren't that great when i could just open the app. I just think the iPhone is the easiest phone to use from being drunk to sober then my nexus one and who needs bluetooth files?!?! I've never needed it from the days of my palm 650 to palm 750 to iPhone.

IE9 with no support for flash. Is flash dead yet adobe or android?!

Well your right you do have every right to tell them. And they have everyright to do as they choose. And tell me what other phones have Full flash? And im not refering to FLAsh lite which can't display flash web content.

But a full Gold GM release of Flash player 10.1 When you can show me that phone i would like to see it.

Also Apple gets calls all the time about Flash problems with the imac and MBP. So the average consumer would Blame Apple not Adobe for problems relating to battery life on the iphone for flash.

That's true but that was because the majority of their customers wanted that. People on this board and on these online forums represent a small amount of iphone users.

It's not like the stock is tanking , The stores are empty and full of iphone's that can't be sold due to lack of flash. The amount of users who care about flash is a small segment. If that was not the case then iphone wouldn't be as popular as it was.

So while macrumors and some other message boards etc, have a segment of users that want Flash. I hardly belive its enough to cause a drop in sales that would hurt apple enough to where they would be like ford.

Oh and ford has been doing pretty good BTW since they are the only american car maker that didn't get money from the goverment.

Flash is a pipe dream on the iPhone. Unless someone gives in, it's never going to happen.

This board does represent a small percentage of iPhone users but it is still a relative sample size statistically speaking.

I agree that Apple is doing very well in sales. There is no denying that. The iPhone has become more of a symbol of status lately(not lately, since day 1). Consumers fall in love with the Apple designs and once you're in...you're hooked. Apple does a fantastic job of keeping customers loyal. I'm getting off track...

What I mean is that there is a reason people buy iPhones and it's not always in direct relation to its technical triumphs. So, of course the average users won't "miss" flash. Sheesh, I'd say a large portion of iPhone users don't even know what flash is. What I find disheartening is the notion that what we don't have we don't need.

Ford is doing wonderfully right now because of the logic I explained earlier.

Restriction and regulation are not my cup of tea. In all honesty, I can see Google and OHA dominating the smart phone OS market in roughly 1-2 years. Google is the Pixar of software development.
