These will come out just ahead of the new watch bands that will go with the apple watch 2. But don't worry, Apple will sell us a $25 adapter.

I'm getting so tired of new bands. Is anyone actually buying these things?????

For the Apple Watch to become a mass market device, it's going to have to be advertised and promoted to the mass market. It's a fashion device. Coach is an upper-middle fashion brand found in every mall in North America making accessories for the Apple Watch. Apple would be right to call them out on stage, along with any other strap manufacturers they've been able to get on board. I would assume they're working with other fashion brands too (maybe Levi's, All Saints, or Gap to go slightly downmarket).

Why does everyone seem to think that the same teams that work on software also design watch bands? Seriously, every time something like this comes up you have people constantly complaining about how "Apple needs to focus on [insert issue] instead of this." I personally applaud the effort to make Apple Watch more than just a geeky wrist computer. Sure, it has many issues, but again, that's surely a different group of people working on it.

Stating the blindingly obvious, we ALL know this..

The point is, we're all sick of hearing about watch bands, and no new REAL products that actually make a difference to our lives..

All we hear is watch bands, apple car, and a product range that is so stagnated that the "buying advice" from mac fan sites is don't buy..

I've seen more Apple Watches around lately. The vast majority of the people I've seen them on locally have been women in what I would guesstimate to be in the early 30s to early 50s range. I've seen them on a few guys, as well; but I'd say the ratio of women to men that I've seen wearing the Apple Watch around Atlanta is roughly 3:1. Purely anecdotal evidence, though.

Sorry, my post read as though I was doubting you. I wasn't. I was simply stating my own, anecdotal observations. It's been a looooonnnnngggg Monday, so apologies if it came across antagonistic.

At work, I see mostly Omegas, but a couple of of Rolexes, and at least two Pateks. Although the guy who usually wears a Patek Nautilus, occasionally wears his Apple Watch. And, I married a bloody Yank, so what do I know?

The interesting question is, how much insight or assurances into future product plans Apple given it's fashion partners? Not specifically Coach, but companies like that or Hermes.

At least Hermes doesn't use third-party bands, but rather uses genuine Apple connectors. Maybe Coach does too, though we can't tell from this. If I was Hermes, I would want either some insight into Apple's watch roadmap, or at least some assurance that the bands I am selling today will be supported by the latest and greatest watch for x months or years. Otherwise, I am not sure what they get out of the partnership. Hermes could just as easily make their own connectors - I doubt they derive that much profit from the Apple co-branding. Coach is likely in the same position.

For the last several months, well-known luxury brand Coach has been quietly working on a set of designer Apple Watch bands created to match Coach handbags, and now those bands are set to debut on June 12.

Haute Écriture's David Boglin de Bautista has been sharing details on the design of the bands gleaned from sales representatives and over the weekend, he learned Coach retail stores will be receiving the bands starting next week.

Coach is planning to release the bands in three styles: Leather Strap with Charms, Wild Beast Camo, and Tea Rose Appliqué, with each style available in three colors for a total of nine bands. High-quality photos of each style were shared by de Bautista.

Coach salespeople are readily sharing information on the bands with customers, and a redditor was able to snap a photo of a product guide that depicts all of the new bands and their color options. Leather Strap comes in black, white, and saddle brown, while the Wild Beast Camo band is available in denim, military green, and saddle brown. The Tea Rose band will be available in black, white, and tawny orange. All bands are listed as women's bands and will be priced at $150.

Coach has reportedly made the Apple Watch bands in small quantities and one sales representative told de Bautista that she expects them to sell out quickly. The bands will be available in select stores in California, Nevada, and New York, and will not initially be available online.

It was originally unclear if Coach was teaming up with Apple on the bands or releasing them independently, but it appears the bands will not be sold by Apple. Apple offers its own line of Apple Watch models and luxury bands through a partnership with Hermès.

Apple have realised that the game may be up and people are realising the "new products" ain't coming again this year so as a stop-gap measure, they're churning out some more watch based accessories to stall the growing concerns so have now teamed up with Paul McCartney to aptly re release the seventies hit: Band(s) On The Run.

They may be hideous, but at least you know that because they're made by Coach, they will also be ridiculously expensive.

Like this post if you don't care.

Like seriously, who cares about watch bands? I think Tim Cook is the only guy in the world who would show off watch bands and their new designs on a Keynote presentation.

I can't stress how much of a moron the guy is.

I'm starting to lean your way. I wonder what the real barriers are to a more fluid, responsive, organic product release schedule? Maybe we've all just become too de-sensitized to how many different products and services that Apple is having to manage now, and it's unrealistic for them to release on shorter cycles? I just think a more incremental release schedule, with smaller updates more frequently, would also translate into more stability and refinement. Instead, they wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait, and then release something huge, and then wait and wait and wait and wait and wait, and then release. Meanwhile, the competition is cleaning house with mindshare.

These will be obsolete after WWDC when Apple Watch 2 is announced, and needs bands to have connectors for the new Watch Sensor array, holo-projectors, etc.

oi, I'll be glad when we have more than bands to hear about with the Apple Watch than just bands.

Well said and these were bands were done by Coach, not Apple.

Totally understood...no harm, no foul.

I didn't see Apple Watches in public here for the longest time after they launched. Then I started seeing one or two a week for a while. Now I'm seeing more of them in public...probably because the prices have come down substantially since it launched -- at least here in the U.S. The initial launch prices were just absurd considering all the things the Apple Watch doesn't do very well at present (in my opinion).

And congrats on snagging a woman from Georgia! ;)
