Battery calibration seems to have helped! Back up to 99% health (6850 mAh) at the moment. I think I'll do the same tonight and see if I can get it back up to 100% :D

Awesome! I don't know if calibrating again will get you back to 100% but 99% is good, I'd say if you're at 98% or higher there isn't anything to worry about.

i never keep the mbp running on power as soon as battery is full. i discharge till empty then recharge ;D it fluctuates between 97 and 99% on batt health

I actually didn't even need to calibrate it again. Once I let the battery discharge for the second time it shot up past 7000 mAh, so more than 100%

Seems as if it never really lost any capacity, just wasn't aware how much charge it could hold

had my Mac since yesterday 2pm and does not seem to charge pass the 99%. So did a calibration last night and it shot over 7000!!

You know what all these different results tell me? Stop worrying about it and just use your computer. Odds are things will work out just fine.

That's basically what this thread is for. Just a comparison between other people's computers. It shows that they all have slight variations, but it's here just in case some one does get a bad one, they can reference it against these.

Mine says my new 13" is 122 months old. Thats older than OS X is. It's almost older than OS 9!

My battery shows more than the "nameplate" 7077 mAh (equivalent to 77.5 Whr at 10.95 V). Weird, huh?

I'm not sure if that's a glitch or if the 7077 is just a close estimate. More like the battery is 7077 +/- 100 or something

I just picked up my first mac earlier today and I'm very happy with the battery so far, although I am upgrading from a 2-2.5hr battery on my old dell. Even still this thing seems to last forever!

After I calibrated I checked in the system profiler and the full charge capacity is 7308mAh. So I manually set this in coconutbattery. I would have just posted pics, but I am not sure how to do that yet, I've only had my mac for a couple hours

Ah, I've only been using OS X as my main OS for the last few months (about 7 or so now). And I finally got a good computer. I was using a 7 yr old iBook. Now I'm using my 2010 MBP. But it does take a little bit of time to adjust to the different shortcuts.

But command+shift+3 is a screen shot

How are you guys getting a screen shot of just the Coconut Battery App and posting it on here?

Never mind, got it.

People with original capacity higher than 6900, did you people calibrate your battery?

I tried to calibrate my battery yesterday but when the laptop finally died the standby light turned off when I closed the screen so it didn't have a chance to fully drain the battery.

Is the calibration process different for the newer mbps?

Mine shows 94% capacity... :(

does the 17 inch have a longer battery life than the 15 inch this time or are they now the same processor to processor.
