Coconut reports my new MBP is 124 months old. I wish I'd had this 10 years ago!!!

Is there something wrong with my battery....

Check out this....that seems like a lot of battery deficiency and load-cycles in the last 7 weeks! I haven't used overly that much!

How long do Apple batteries really last.

Here is a capture from my coconut. The battery has not reached 1000 cycles and it is at less than half the capacity. However, the age (about 6 years) is accurate. Guess its time to get a new battery. Note that the original max capacity is little over half that of the current notebooks. At about 2000 mAh this thing lasts about 1.5 hours with wireless internet use and max brightness. System is a 12" 1Ghz iBook G4.

Dude same question as me

People with original capacity higher than 6900, did you people calibrate your battery?

I tried to calibrate my battery yesterday but when the laptop finally died the standby light turned off when I closed the screen so it didn't have a chance to fully drain the battery.

Is the calibration process different for the newer mbps?

I have like 6816mhz and 98% battery life on mine and i almost always leave it plugged into the power adapter. Is that bad to do? I calibrated it a few times so far but only have 8 charge cycles. How is everyone getting their charge cycles so high?

Oddly, I usually run my battery down to about 60% (sometimes 50% or even 40%) and then plug it back in...I had read that to be charged "one full cycle" the recharges must add up to 100% (ie: a partial charge from 60% to 100% and another partial charge from 40% to 100% should add up to "one full charge")...
However, my i5 15" is registering a full charge on Coconut with even partial charges...

Bump!

How's everyone doing with their 2010 MBP's?

does having flash installed on mbp effect it as much as having flash on mba?
Viewing sites with flash is a drain on system resources and battery life, regardless of the model. Simply having flash installed, however, does not put demands on the system.
