Update: Oregon and Washington just left.
Which is basically the end of the Pac-12. No way Arizona stays (despite yesterday’s apparent reversal). According to this, Oregon and Washington were willing to accept a half-share of the B1G revenue payout, which is still more than they would have gotten from the Pac-12.

Yup and last night the Big 12 already approved Arizona to come to the league pending ABOR agreement. Then this morning there was a last ditch effort to save the PAC 12 with the Apple deal that was expiring today and when that failed then UO/UW made the call to the Big Ten and that was that.

but Arizona is not all that great right? It seems to me they are turning the BIG 10 into an "elite" league - that will generate a ton of money!

Pac-12 will collapse within the next 6 months. This whole deal is just a final shot in the dark from the Pac-12 leadership trying to save the conference. Rumors are that Arizona is leaving, and Oregon and U of Washington both going to the Big Ten.
What do you know… just as I expected.

Arizona State and Utah will follow on behind Arizona and Colorado to the Big-12.

ACC is about to fall next.

Unless the ACC can renegotiate its media package, pointing to the wreckage that is the Pac-12.

ACC's problem is they made their bed with ESPN but the SEC is ESPN's favorite AND ESPN is not on secure footing financially anyway.

OH NO, no more apple cup!

And then there were 4.

Also no more "Civil War" in Oregon. Though the Arizona/ASU rivalry will be intact, albeit in a different conference.

Stanford and Cal might not participate, but what might make sense is for what's left of the Pac-12 to merge with the Mountain West, retaining the "Pac" name. They would have 13-15 members (depending on what Cal and Stanford do), which is enough to stage a conference championship.

Interestingly, both Oregon and Washington committed to continuing their in-state rivalries.
