You can get leather cleaner. I buff up my phone case every few months and it keeps the case looking like new.

Not a fan of woven-type cases, it seems like a dirt magnet. But I can definitely see that some people would like them because it gives them a better grip on their phone, less of a chance of dropping it. I have a smooth-sided case but the back has some texture, to keep it from moving around on a desk/table/chair arm. Works great for me.

And people who are yelling about “bring back leather!” have never used apple’s leather cases. They look and feel great, yes. But they start to peel off after some time. My finewoven case is on the other hand, doing great after two years.

I used Apple exclusively til a couple years ago, my most recent is Bullstrap and I'm quite happy with it.

Yes, and it gives the leather character in a way that stained and worn fabric can never replicate.
I don’t know if these cases are much better, but PU leather is pretty much impossible to recycle.
I think it’s called “pre-washed”.
Some kind of knitted material. Seen a lot of this material type in my years and this will easily stain/get dirty and be incredibly hard to clean. Probably fade super easy to sunlight as well if these are real.
Vegan leather options have improved considerably over the last several years. I don’t begrudge Apple for toying with cloth options like luxury vehicle manufacturers have of late. However vehicle manufacturers always have a vegan leather option to fall back on if you don’t want cloth or wool.
this essentially just looks like polyester fabric wrapped on a plastic mold. probably as bad if not worse for the environment than leather
It's cloth because they wrap their power coords in cloth, so they can buy in massive amounts to save money...thats what informed the decision. They can play it off like some sort of design language, but it is not.
The Apple logo gets less pronounced as you proceed from left to right in the image of the cases. It’s almost invisible in the case on the far right.
That's precisely the point. With a hard case, you can at least wipe it with a sanitizer or wipe with a moist cloth from time to time. This one is going to look like a bathroom mat that's never been laundered full of dirt, grime, sweat, dead skin, blood, and everything else you can imagine.
I want woven nothing. Just make an environmentally friendly faux leather. That's all I ask.

Bring back leather cases. But honestly, you are better off going with third party cases to get the one you want exactly and a whole lot cheaper
