Coloured Unibody iPhones

Same here. I find these possible prototypes to be very attractive - I don't find them feminine at all. Myself, I'd choose the Apple Green iPhone
Then women will buy the colors and guys will buy the black one. Is there a problem?

I like the top black one actually. . . Looks the best with the plastic back and chrome edges. The rest look fake, a good photoshop job did the trick. Look at the ear phone jack. . . looks like the first gen.
Apple usually offers different colors with higher capacity not lower. Like the 16GB iPhones in white and black and the second gen nano had colors in the higher capacity but only black for the low.
I honestly don't think Apple would dare to release colours (just like the nano's) for their phone because it's a damn smart phone, not a toy. It's supposed to look elegant and professional, not like a damn rainbow.
Every iPhone owner I know bought the iPhone because it's simply a great phone with hundreds of great uses. The iPhone has opened to door for many consumers to buy a smartphone, why not build on that. As long as a black and a white iPhone model are available then professionals should be happy. And I think they look elegant in color.
The iPhone is hardly professional compared to a RIM device. But, they're trying to push this approach with all the accessories 3.0 will be able to utilize. Right now I think their main demographic is college students +/- a few years in that average age who would jump at the option to buy a colored iPhone - especially since most of them already do this with cases.
See, most of the users here at MacRumours would jump on your back and call you out because they have no sense of humor.

Most likely hella fake, but I'd love it if colors were available. But I'm betting that there would only be 4 or 5 colors like the iPod shuffle and not the sheer rainbow like the iPod nano. A smart engineering move, if possible, would be to make replaceable plates on the back. Just design the phone as before with a thin colored plate to go on the back. If all of the serial number/model number stuff was on a section like the white part above, it's doable. With that, you could fix a scratched body for about $30.

Wasn't there a bezel only picture/rumor a few days ago? It wasn't painted up, but presumably could link to the same thing.

Why does the color of the actual phone matter that much? Almost everybody that I know with an iPhone has a case over it. I know about ten people with iPhones (off the top of my head), and all except one have cases over their phones.
Maybe this will help Apple with the marketing, I guess. Maybe the should add an ergonomic grip shape to the new iPhone so that people don't need a third-party case.

The third generation of iPhone pictures were leaked out! Two versions, for high-end black, almost looks like the second generation, 32G capacity. Is the color of the low-end, with almost the appearance of the first generation, 16G capacity. Disclosed before the forums all the text on the reverse side of silver, in these pictures are all true.

Ummmmm ... There are mockups that we're labeled as mockups in another thread. The top all-black one is the iPhone Nano mockup. None of which are influenced by any actual Apple sources.
But I would love the possibility of a build in, forward facing LED notification light like what I'm assuming is in that Nano design.
I have a mounted holder in my car that will only work with a naked iPhone, iPhone 3G or iPod touch. I'm not going to buy a $30 case (I already did) to take it off every darn time I get in the car and put it back on when I get out. I liked the thickness of the phone with the case, but I got sick of finding awkward positions in a cup holder to put my phone because there isn't an accessory that will act as a case and a holder.
If you have a case that's like a one-piece gel cover that's like throwing a condom on it and isn't easy to get off, you won't be able to use docking accessories.
I like the colored ones but would probably go with the black if available.

Agree. And I think this one looks damn good.
I noticed this too. If you look at the home button you can see that if this is a true leaked pic, the button is going to have a flat top and bottom because of how compressed it is between the bezel and the screen.
Edit: Maybe they'll make it a touch button?
