Even though I'll be getting black, those other colors do look fairly beautiful, IMO.

So I hope these are legit.

The colored ones are supposed to be iPhone-nano's and the black one is a regular iphone.

I heard that the colored ones ("iPhone Chromatic") are 16GB only, regular iPhones. The black one ("iPhone Unibody") is the 'Pro' model, available in 16 or 32GB.

Who knows if that's actually true or not, but I hope it isn't. I'd hate to have to buy an iPhone with a glossy, scratch-happy back - again! - just to be able to get decent capacity. :(

I think this one could be real, if apple made the chrome bezel rap around all the buttons they wouldn't have the cracking problem the iphone has now.

This looks badass!

I love that people can read 'These are confirmed mock-ups' over and over and still say 'Man, I hope they're real!'

Considering that there's nothing else to talk about ...

this kinda supports the idea of there being an iphone (the coloured ones, not dedesigned from the 3g) and the iphone pro, which looks sooooo cool

For someone with any sort of modeling/artistic ability in a program like Maya or 3DS Max, this would be an easy feat to accomplish. As much as the photos really do look like the kind of rendered images Apple throws up on their sites for many of their products, I, too, claim these just being someone's wish.

Having said that, I DO think that colors are a great idea for an iPhone. To the poster who said that people only need black and white; that's ridiculous. Giving people choice and variety is a smart move...why do you think so many of the non-protective skin sites are doing so well? People want difference and variety. I'd absolutely love a Red (same Red as the (RED) iPod) iPhone, and would happily pay a premium for it. Just like the white iPhone, people will pay more money for something to stand out from the crowd.

Are they *confirmed* mock ups? I mean, they almost certainly are fan concepts, but we've never actually established who originally uploaded them as far as I can tell.

Despite the 99.99999% chance they're mock ups, a little tiny part of me hopes... because they're a lot nicer than the 3G design.

Why must you people keep insisting that photoshop = rumors

ITS A FREAKING CONCEPT

I am pretty sure it's been said time and time again that people realize these are mockups and that the chances of them being real are next to impossible. I think your utter excitement over people posting things like this and somehow jumping on the band wagon of dreams is hilarious. Angry Santa, you do realize that you are on a rumors site where it is common to see a rumor or a mockup design of something, discuss it in great length, and then be shot down more times than not when the actual product is released … right? ;)

I'm just checking because it may not be clear to you about where you are and frankly, I'd much rather discuss this BS than people discussing someone's failing/never before started relationship, their medical issues, why their mommy and/or daddy won't buy them a Mac, or whether or not they should buy something now or later.

Wow, these are awesome.... I'm going to the Apple store today to get 2. Does anybody have a link to the Keynote for these? Wow, this rocks. I'm glad I waited.

Wait....what... these are a render!!! What, somebody said they were a render on the first page. But, but, I don't read everything, I thought they were real.

Oh, well. I can't wait for them to be released tomorrow.

It's a mockup/render/concept. It's not beyond the stretch of imagination that either, or both the Touch and the iPhone will have colored back, and a potential casing redesign? :)

There is the case that Apple is pretty monochromatic higher up - the color in the iPod line up coming from the Mini, nano and shuffle, with the shuffle and nano both taking at a generation before getting color versions.
The Touch has kept black for both 1G and 2G.

For iPhone to go Black only, to black and white, to color isn't too much of a stretch? Normally there's a visual change in the product that allows you to differentiate quite quickly what generation you're looking at. Maybe Apple will want this, maybe they won't.

If the colorful ones were deemed not business like enough- Apple could do the colors to only the Touch's. You might not see the color anyhow, with the case on.

By moving away from the iconic clickwheel - their look is of a black glass screen till you turn it on - the home button, and iconography/layout seems to be their motif at the moment anyway.

Just remember that out of all the concepts, renders and mockups that are created when developing a product, one of them still ends up being the real thing :p
