Beta 3 was awesome for me in my iphone 5, ipad 3 & ipad mini. No issues broadly.

Can't wait for beta 4 to iron out minor issues and make my iOS experience even better :apple:

In the icon the = key is grey. In the app it's orange. ;)
Thats not exactly a bug. It wouldn't look all that good if everything in the icon was orange. Plus icons don't exactly always look exactly the same as everything in the app. I guess it's an "inconsistency", but there are worse ones, like the Safari or Settings icon.

Not all of the icons are representative of their apps UI and that's obvious as you've pointed out. The home screen is a mix of icons that represent what the app does and icons that represent the UI of the app (dome do both). The Calculator icon, though, is obviously attempting to represent the apps UI (and what it does as well) so why is the icon misrepresenting the UI?

More than likely because it would look a bit odd all orange, or at least not as good.

Honestly so tired of the "Steve Jobs wouldn't have done this or that" mantra that everyone is constantly repeating.

Agreed. People who post such things act as if they knew him personally. Talk about an inflated self image.

I think I will wait for the GM. Not work the aggravation of trying to use the betas when having your phone as a daily driver. Sure it's improving but it does affect my productivity when apps crash and not work properly. I don't really see iOS7 being a big leap from iOS6 as it is now.

Steve wouldn't let it. If he were still here... I still wonder what iOS would be like today if he was here.

Wouldn't have that awful new Mac Pro. Thing looks like a trash can.

Because of course Steve had nothing to do with the Cube.....which lots of people made fun of as a toaster or Kleenex box. How the heck do you know what Steve would or wouldn't have done.

Why not? If you wanna get picky he UI is the problem. I think the = should have a different color in the app. The x - + and divide are arithmetic functions while the = simply gives the result and should not have the same color. So I think the icon is right but on the app the = and the orange color should be a different color

Hey, guys, who can confirm the shedule of beta 4 releasing? If it is Monday, then I will now upgrade from beta 2 to beta 3, and then wait a day or two to upgrade to beta 4. Frankly, i'm now pretty free with nothing to do, ha ha.

No one knows for sure, but Monday is a safe bet going on prior releases.

Beta 4 - hope for even better

(Using on an iPhone)
I have really liked the iOS 7 betas, I got beta 1 shortly after it was released with my developer account and I really have liked it. But that said, there are a few little bugs that have been getting better as time goes on. I am very excited for beta 4 to be released because of some of the bugs that I have been experiencing in beta 3.
1. Siri does not seem to listen and will shut her self off when I am telling her something.
2. When I will close out of an app and go to my home screen the background will go completely black.
3. About 75% of the time I have to press the app icon two or three times before the app will launch.

In all I have been really impressed with iOS 7 and I really enjoy the new design. I am mainly looking for stability in beta 4.

Have a great day.

But not the same color as the numbers, as that would make even less sense.

Yup. I really believe the UI changes (if any) will come in the GM or beta 7/8. Mostly because i think they are trying to focus on functionality rather than design. Heck maybe even 7.1 or 7.0.1 (but thats too far in the future):)

From what I've gathered, most features work "as promised", general stability has to be improved. At this rate, we could have a beta 5, and then the GM. Would make sense for a presentation in August, and release in September.

I think we will see at least three more betas. I don't expect the OS to be ready before mid September. This will be in line with Apple's release schedule for the next iPhone.
