not sure - Im literally just going by what they say and it's not to clear. They have said don't upgrade to 4.0.1.

I was having a bluetooth headset problem when I upgraded from the iPhone 3GS. So as part of a method to try to fix that issue (which was horrible by the way) I did a restore on a different mac on iTunes at home.
Unfortunately in doing so, Apple upgraded me with the restore to 4.0.1. I had no option to stay with 4.0.
Now I'm sitting here crossing my fingers. And I'm thinking I could get locked out of the jailbreak.
But the bluetooth problem I had is now gone. Didn't expect that but it has with the technique I tried. Before people would constantly complain about the signal breaking up and how bad I sounded. I couldn't even keep my phone in a front pocket without problems. Even more than two feet away was an issue.
So guess I'll just wait and cross my fingers. But now I'm looking uphill.

I was hoping that would be the case. It's rough when Apple hijacks a restore and forces you to update but that's how it is often, at least when you can't option click to a lower version downloaded on your drive.

Alright really stupid question incoming.
I downloaded and used TinyUmbrella on my Mac with my iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0 and just hit save my SHSH. It gave me the SUCCESSFULLY saved line and said it's saved into Cydia. Is that all i had to do? It seems so easy that I feel like I haven't done it correctly. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Also, since i saved 4.0 is that ok as well? Or should I save 4.0 and then upgrade to 4.0.1 and then save that SHSH blob with it?

If Cydia has your 4.0 hashes which you cannot get any longer, go to advance options and get those from Cydia. Then view which hashes are saved.
I don't know what you're saying. I have an iPhone 4 and it said 4.0 SHSH blobs saved in Cydia successfully but you're saying I can't access it? So should I go on to 4.0.1 if I can't access 4.0 SHSH blobs? Sorry your response is weather confusing.
no, he is saying that people can NOT save the 4.0 blobs any longer. You already have it saved, so congrats.
