no reason to do it.

you saved 4.0? or 4.0.1?

I saved 4.0. I just downloaded tinyumbrella 4.01.03 for Mac then plugged in my phone and it showed the name of my phone on 4.0 A... And it listed the number. I didn't click advanced or anything I just clicked save SHSH blog and it said successfully saved do not bug whatever the guys name is. So I don't know what everyone is saying you can't save 4.0 because I just did it.

I did the same, if we have 4.0 and saved them already - can we go ahead and update now? From what I understand saving our 4.0 blobs through TinyUmbrella means we could always roll back the fw if say 4.0.1 has problems jailbreaking?

you are still on 4.0 but what you saved was 4.0.1.

I just wanted to add that I bought a 32GB 3GS on Sunday. It came with 3.1.3 on it and I immediately jailbroke it and in Cydia, had it save the blobs. Today it says that it has them saved for 4.0. How was it able to get them for 4.0 when Apple stopped signing 4.0 last week? The phone is still on 3.1.3.

I got an iPhone 3gs 32g on IOS4(MC) I just jailbroke it with snowbreeze 1.7 but its stuckin safemode until rock or cydia get all the update for the ios$

What's the big deal with MyFi? Not for you in particular but in terms of daily usage? You have Internet at home (hopefully), you have internet access via your iphone, WiFi hotspots everywhere. Im not being a dick. Im seriously interested.
Perhaps Im missing out on something very cool you can do with MyFi:) It's like the #1 jb app out there and I cant come up with anything better than getting access to internet on your ipad-wifi via phone network.

well lets say your not in a place that has wifi etc and you have other mebers of your family who have iPod touches etc basicly or you need to accses something on your laptop that needs to be on the Web. what it will do is turn your 3G signal into a WiFi signal so other people can go on and browse the web.

As hard as this might be to realize, there are many areas of the country that don't have WiFi hotspots. Or people who didn't want another monthly bill with an iPad G. Or don't have wireless at work. It shouldn't be hard to identify all the places that don't have WiFi but do have a cell signal. That's where MyWi (note the correct spelling) comes in handy.

Okthx, so basically for something I could have guessed. I know what MyWi is, just wondered if there's something really supercool you can do with it since so many ppl want/need it.

thank you for good answers! :)

A friend at work uses MyWi when he and his wife travel. He fires up MyWi, his wife connects their iPad and uses GPS HD to look for nearby attractions while on vacation. Yes, there's a version of GPS for the iPhone but it's much easier on the iPad.

Yesterday Cydia was displaying the Blobs saved incorrectly. Check Cydia today mine is now displaying correctly.
