FFS.

All he's saying is when its ready, he's not holding it off for a certain day. His previous tweet stated he was hoping to have it released beforehand.

Then allow me to ask the stupid questions. 1) How did you render your phone useless? 2) Why would you expect a jailbreak to be the correct fix?

You made no mention of what you define as "useless".

The"rendered useless" seems to be a drama post unless

the poster foolishly upgraded without research and lost his unlock needed for an unofficial carrier

or

bought a phone that isn't able to be unlocked yet.

In both these examples (certainly their may be another explanation) the device was rendered useless by direct actions or inactions (fail to research) of poster.

Right. There were many warnings about updating/saving SHSH blobs.
The latter is the situation I'm in. I traded an 8GB 3G for a 16GB 3GS, so I still benefitted from the trade, just the new phone was already updated to 3.1.3, which is why the seller wanted to trade in the first place.
 
Shall I just assume the Jailbreak is problematic and not going to be out for a while?

You do realize that a 3GS on 3.1.3 can be jailbroken with Spirit and unlocked with ultrasn0w, right?

I hope so, It just seams like forever. I bet MuscleNerd was expecting a mid july JB release.

When this thing gets release Cydia is gonna get crippled for a few days.

Is Comex the only one working on the JB or is the Dev team helping him?

You had to do it. Now there will be 800 more "Jailbreak Tomorrow?!?!!1!" threads.
weemanpow3, Comex is solely working on the jailbreak. MuscleNerd and Planetbeing are/were working on the unlock.

I don't think this implies anything about the jailbreak. The only conclusion this tweet justifies is that the DEF CON® Hacking Conference will not prevent the release of the unlock if the jailbreak is released during the conference.

We shall see.

MuscleNerd rarely just puts out a public tweet unless he has something to share. He has already said several times the unlock package was complete, I don't see him tweeting this just to repeat that.
