If you don't believe that stealing software is against the law, then you need more help than anyone around here can offer.

Also, I think you are confusing "political correctness" with following the rules of this forum. This is not a public forum. We are lucky to have a place to discuss Apple products. If people continually decide to ignore the clearly stated rules of conduct, then this forum will have no choice but the cease operations.

Are you telling me you have NEVER pirated anything before?

Never downloaded a song before, or application?

That's not the point. This forum does not allow discussions on piracy. It is not what jailbreaking is about.

Go elsewhere if that is your thing...

Well maybe because nearly everybody has done it before from policemen, to politicians to even businesses in some sort. I don't believe you.

It is quite the erroneous leap to state that everyone has done it because alot of people have.

Some people have a moral code where they won't engage in such behavior. Shocking right?

As I said, why is it so hard to believe?

Regardless, this forum prohibits any talks of piracy. Jailbreaking does not imply pirating just as torrenting doesn't

+1

He wants to make himself feel better with the "everyone's doing it" mentality.

It is completely irrelevant in who engages in IP infringement. Save the talk about infringing on other people's copyrights for warez forums.

Neither the Dev Team, nor most people reading the forums here are have a positive opinion of others who are looking to use JBs to engage in criminal activity.

Want to never see a JB for the iPhone 5 (or perhaps even the iPhone 4)? Keep telling the whole world that you will use other people's work (namely the Dev Team's stuff) to take food out of the mouths of app developers.

IMHO develop your own app and put it on the app store for all of those like you to pirate it.
All your hard work and effort gone to waste.

End of the line it's wrong and it brings shame to Jailbreaking.

Damn, I hope I'll come out soon... I'm already sick of carrying a Sony Ericsson feature phone as my phone and my 3GS almost as an iPod Touch, worst part is that this things has numkeys and it keeps unlocking itself from my pocket and calls people :mad:
I have my hopes for monday, and if not next one and so on... Only hope keeps you alive :cool:

You're the one talking about it you goof ball, those are your thoughts and words. I wasnt aware and was surprised people were still pirating Apple store apps. YOU are the one putting THIS OUT THERE. I was was talking with dukebrown about "piracy" in general.

Anything that includes:

Copyright infringement;
Tethering;

Is a non-legitimate use of jailbreaking. Unfortunately, those two reasons are without a doubt the majority of users reasons for jailbreaking -- whether you like it or not.

Now, if you just can't live without Winterboard and. Icon dock and biteSMS then you are without a doubt in the minority.

I'm sure you have more than pure conjecture to back up these statements?

Sure he does. :rolleyes::D

Just because he doesn't know the difference between violating a Terms Of Service agreement and stealing is no reason to think he doesn't have a source to back up ego inflated, blanket statements.

Looks like the Facetime problem was fixed in the Jailbreak. Now we have to wait for the Appstore bug to be fixed.

musclenerd said: If Facetime over 3G (not just wifi) is even possible, it's shaping up to be a "killer app" reason to jailbreak iPhone4

There's no mention that it's been fixed.

MuscleNerd: @KeyOn59 issues with legit use of Facetime are all resolved (It's up to JB devs to come up with Facetime over 3G though)

I think the first exploit affected FaceTime, I think they had to find another exploit that didn't break facetime. That what I got from comex on the ustream broadcast.But I might be wrong.

When you circumvent paying for a service via your provider because you don't see eye to eye with them on what you should be paying for that service, and instead, modify your device and use an unethical app to do it anyways, is certainly stealing and at the very minimum, extremely unethical.
