At least 90% of the readers of the thread are going be wanting the jailbreak to not pay for apps, the politcal correctness on this site is mind numbing sometimes.

Could be. To be honest, I have Installous on my phone. And I have only used it for two apps, believe me or not.
But, many users here are developers. Developers work very hard on their apps, and some rely on the profits to make a living. Pirating apps takes from their profits, and is not the right thing to do.

Like the bubbles? You might be able to find a skin to replace it.

hahah, not the shape of the bubbles. i always wanted the contacts picture to show up next to each text. some people say its messy but i always liked it. :)

Ah, I see what you mean. I think biteSMS does that but I havent had it for a while so I forgot (I know they can be displayed when receiving them)

Then find another site geared towards thieves.

No, what's mind-numbing is the posters on here who choose not to abide by the rules of the forum. Talking about piracy is strictly forbidden. It's not that hard to understand, is it?

Registration rules. Violation of the rules you agreed to when registering for the site: that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

Self centered, losers like these app thieves could care less since all that matters to them is what they want. If they are willing to steal apps, not following forum rules is nothing. Rules, ethics and honor are words they are not familiar with.

This may be a stupid question but it is just a question. When i try to go to ultrasn0w.com it goes directly to dev page...did it always do that?

And you certainly have zero idea what you are talking about.

Because you are likely a thief, doesn't mean that 90% of us stoop to your level.

Don't talk to me like I'm a child, because I'm not the only person in the jailbreak community who downloads free apps.

Your're not in the jailbreak community. You don't create your own exploits. You're in the hand out community, you wait for the jailbreakers to hand out the keys so you can emulate. It's more like a parasite community.

Exactly. I have never downloaded a pirated app after jailbreaking; all I want the JB for is to make my iPhone be able to do things my RAZR could, like customizable SMS tones. ;)

What I really want it for is, well, that, along with BossPaper, SBSettings, Status Bar Notifier, WeatherIcon, and the Glass Orb Color theme, for which I've created probably 50 custom icons that I'd love to be able to use again. All I care about is the UI...I have no use for extra apps. But that's me.

I'm actually really excited about winterboard when that comes out. I didn't use it on my 3G for the sake of speed but on the iPhone 4 I hope it'll run without a problem.

Woot! Jailbreak is nearly done. No need for me to buy any apps out the App Store. :) I love FREE.

You do know that a lot of the people on this forum are app developers right? It's bad to steal from huge multi-million dollar companies.... but it's much much worse to steal from your own peers, individuals like you and me who work hard developing these apps to make a few bucks.

Nobody is a saint and nobody can stop you from doing stuff but all I'm saying is at least keep stuff like that to yourself around here where app developers post, thats just common sense.

Okay.

The first thing I'm gonna do when the jailbreak is released:

Download mcleaner.

The second thing:

Appsync 4.0

The third thing:

Sbsettings.

In that order. And lastly, I'd download all the free apps via crackulous as possible. Do I buy apps? Yes. Will I bootleg? Hell yes.

Actually, I'd say the opposite. 90% of MacRumors followers are smart enough to know the importance of paying for the apps we use...and how important that is in the development of future apps. So do yourself a favor...and pony up the dollars necessary....were talking $1-$7 an app for the most part.

Don't think so. App pirates are low life on the totem pole, and are arguably the biggest danger to the JB community there is. Why? App pirates cause app developers to put pressure on apple to make iPhone generations harder and harder to JB.

In the past and even now, JBing/is was possible, but we are seeing computer equipment bought by the masses that have been 100% resistant against attacks. The Sony PS3 comes to mind, as even after nearly five years, there has not been a single usable crack. App pirates push Apple to divert money from making cool things to locking down their products. If it weren't for app pirates, we all would have jailbroken iPhone 4gs by now because Apple would have spent more effort into other things.

Pirating apps is just pathetic. It isn't like iPhone apps are like Windows Mobile programs, where they cost $20-$50 a pop from Handango in the past with no way of knowing how good or bad the program is. The 99 cents or whatever the app costs ends up bettering the whole iOS ecosystem as a whole.

Just remember: When you look at your iPhone 4 with no Cydia, no lockscreen widgets, and no MiWi, thank the app pirates for this.

There is a updated Appsync and it works with apps on OS 4.0 via syncing?

wow

1. SBSettings
2. biteSMS

I know there are more out there, but those are the key ones.

I would pay $10 for an app that provided a Snooze option for calendar reminders. Anyone else annoyed every time you need to push an event out and have to go into the event, modify the time, and close it out? Just give me ONE button to snooze for 15 minutes or something.

If you don't believe that stealing software is against the law, then you need more help than anyone around here can offer.

Also, I think you are confusing "political correctness" with following the rules of this forum. This is not a public forum. We are lucky to have a place to discuss Apple products. If people continually decide to ignore the clearly stated rules of conduct, then this forum will have no choice but the cease operations.
