Both me and the Cider guru DagoWATT have been looking into it for a long long time. There is something with 1.01, I guess it adds more anti piracy and anti not Windows checks.
 
Johnny_b, is there any chance that you may fix RA3 to work on os x too, like you did with KW if RA3 does not come for the mac?

i just saw that there is a new patch for kanes wrath (1.02) have you tried if

you can get online working with that?

Ported it to 1940 and C&C KW 1.02 patch out today... But no, nothing. Still the same.

From another forum I'm on. So no. Still the same I'm afraid :(

But Cyclonefr har got RA3 to work on Mac though. But no online or network.

Where can i find this Torrent, I just ordered the game the other day(TW that is) and am very disappointed that KW is not being launched for mac... Can any one dirrect me to a torrent. please and thank you!

Have you read any of this thread?? what about the links other people have posted? thats all i want, what they already have done.. I already have the game serial.

ok, i had a link from another member like 5 posts up. that won't work anymore though. i'll try and make a torrent for you
 
Ok, where should i send it guys? I don't want a feeding frenzy, so i will be sending it to one person at a time, and i'm only going to seed until the first person has completed the download.
 
Thanks, i really appreciate it... but the link is a file that has nothing but text.. There is no torrent, it says torrent. but is only text.. If that makes sense. 44k's of text when i open it.

just wondering will a regular PC version of Kanes wrath work as a cd key for this? and how do i patch this?

pls seed , i'm desperate to play Kane's Wrath after the EA announcement of the franchise and damn to the EA staffs !
They only have to port the game , what makes it so difficult ?! ; )
 
cyclonefr even made C&C3 KW 1.02 work online and it works great! It's on Brokenstone if you are there. These things are shared through BitTorrent today either you like it or not :)
 
Alright I think I've finally grasped the whole torrent thing ;) off to find a working one and finally play kane's wrath... friggen EA.

BTW, RA3 is out

But I'm sure they let us down again with the expansion :p

Not that it matters, I find C&C 3 (and KW) much better than RA3. RA3 was a disappointment.

Most likely :rolleyes:,Meh I agree, even so I'm willing to pay $40 for it, loved the old ones.I blame it on EA taking over the whole C&C franchise.

Oh look one of em's actually loading :D ETA's at 9 days XD.

I own legal copies of all the old PC versions of the C&C games and would love to play on the mac. EVERY ea game I've bought on mac has had major problems and so I have sworn off buying any new ones until they get their Mac division working.

Since a cider port is just a pc version ported, I would think owning a legal copy of the pc version would invalidate any legal concerns. I would like to find sources for these cider ports but the links above are inactive. If anyone could forward to me an active link I'll be happy to help seed.

I'm so disappointed in EA games mac support, I would (and have in the past) happily buy two copies of these games for both my son and I to play, but they screw it up every single time. Macsoft (age of empires games) is so much better with mac games it's not even funny. I buy their stuff without worry and their support is top notch.
