I don't feel so bad anymore for having downloaded that "unoffical" cider port, after reading that there's no mac version coming out.

I have the complete series of CC on mac bought, but I these days I can't play the older version, because I have some troubles with my DVD drive.

Sure as hell I'd bought this one too, if I could've.

I dind't find a folder for custom maps either. there is a folder where you can put in your custom maps in the application prefs folder though. When you put your maps in there they will appear with the normal maps (I only tried in skirmish mode)

Put your maps in this folder:
~/Library/Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath Preferences/p_drive/Application Data/Command & Conquer(tm) 3 Kanes Wrath/Maps

Yes thats where the folder for tib wars was, but there doesn't seem to be one there for kane's wrath oddly enough, at least for me there isn't.

cyclonefr even made C&C3 KW 1.02 work online and it works great! It's on Brokenstone if you are there. These things are shared through BitTorrent today either you like it or not

I may be too late, but where did you find KW 1.02 for mac? Who is cyclonefr and where is Brokenstone?

You know, I tried buying a few OS X titles back a year or two ago when EA announced that whole "coming back to mac" campaign. But the differences between CNC3 on OSX and CNC3 under boot camp on the same machine were sooo glaring that I just do all my gaming under boot camp.

With my X-25M it takes literally seconds to boot into Windows 7, so parallels/native OSX titles really make no sense to me.

Unless you're switching between gaming/work/gaming/work/gaming/work constantly throughout the day, I'd much rather take the 30 seconds to boot into Windows, game, then go back to working/surfing/music/what have you in OS X.

no more EA games for me (avoided Spore like the plague) and will NOT buy CNC4 or Starcraft2 (take away my LAN? you get NO money from me!) yes, i know SC2 is blizzard...and i know it's about piracy, but i's no pirate so give me my LAN!!!

will someone be able to figure out a LAN version for folks like me is what i'm wonderin'. but -meh- i love ZH so much, i can't ever see buying another RTS title until they can top that one. and by my count, it's strike three (TW, KW and RA3), so they's O-U-T. of my gaming wallet, anyway.

when i want a new experience, and i have the time, i boot into 'doze and play. have BFME2 loaded, but yet to play. Looking forward to Anno series, too.

Thank atheismo i can run both OS's! For THAT, i'm grateful. s'like having two computers in one!!
