U dorks do realize that they speak Spanish in Spain where it originated? Also Spain is in Europe. DO you people realize that Latin America is not as LATIN as the southern European countries where it originated from. When people from the South of the USA say Latino it means they are happy old Europeans hundred of years ago raped them. TRUE Latin is Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania, Greece and other southern eastern European countries.

No, Romanized Languagues history in a short paragraph....When someone is called a Latino (they mean the shorthand for Latin American) these are people by definition that constitute the 20+ nations that speak spanish or portuguese in the American continent (NA and SA) only. When speaking of Latino in Europe one is referring to the Mozarabic language (which was called Latino, which comes from Late Latin w/ Roman langs. which is different than old Latin) which was influence by arabs (Muslim Spain). Now if one meant Hispano, it actually means Spain (Hispania in past times) + Portugal (Latin & Greek was spoken there).... And all these languages are based on Latin (which actually is part of the 'Italic language') which is based on Greek and mostly the Phoenician alphabet and that takes you to Lebanon (in the middle east) and close vicinities for the base of written modern alphabet & their romanized languages.... I could be more specific on the details or go farther, but is late... When you say "TRUE Latin" you have no real idea of what you are talking about....

Yeah I think so too; I think since it was probably a survey, people will say that they are from Puerto Rico (even though they might not be) since it is a commonwealth of the US and Puerto Ricans have US passport and illegals are always afraid of an ICE sting operation...
