Where to buy...

I am looking for a case like this
Image

Me too. Anyone know where to buy?

I purchased one, and will have it next week. $7.99 with free shipping from Ebay. Many HK vendors are selling it on eBay, but it took a while to find. Comes in a rainbow of colors.

I think the clever thing about this case is that you can talk with the case closed, and prevent face grease on your phone. That is useful, so one doesn't have to fold the front flap back, to talk on the phone.

Plus you have access to the earjack and power jack, while closed.

Camera cut out looks larger than normal (so no flash problems), and has cut out on back for Apple logo. I found another that does not have the Apple cut out Model without Apple Logo cutout

Model with Apple logo cutout

iCase

After almost one month of waiting for the Knomo iPhone 5 cases, i decided to cancel my pre-order and get myself one of these almost identical leather pouch.

http://www.icaseleather.com/iphone_4s_bortok_1/thin_series_1 (they arent up to date, and i know the site says the pouch is for 4s)

I talked to the manufacturer and they were very very helpful. I ordered a black one for my i5 via phone.

These are 5900 HUF which is like 27 bucks. They offer free "shipping" in Hungary, so i was really happy. They produce these pouches in a small village, called Bonyhad, in a leather factory, they are all hand made. Cant wait to see and feel how it is. There isnt a big variety "inside sewn" genuine leather pouches out there.

Can you give an update on if you're still liking this wallet?

I used it with my old iPhone 4S for almost a year and didn't regret the purchase. However, now that I have an iPhone 5, I obviously can't put it in the Fold Wallet, so instead I just use it as a regular wallet and still love the damn thing.

My apologies, I thought you had the 5 version.
Are you thinking of buying it?

Bit the Brussardo bullet

After spending more time than I care to admit to looking for the perfect wallet/case I finally decided on the two-fold Brussardo. Seriously considered the tri-fold but it looks bulkier than I wanted. The two-fold looks like it can hold at least four pieces of plastic, a license and cash along with an iPhone.

I will review with pictures once it arrives.

Most likely later on in the year, or early next year. I just need to have like $100 available to spend on the wallet again. However, I am comfortable with my current setup of my iPhone 5 in a sleeve and the Fold Wallet with just my cards in my other front pocket.

That was my other choice

I was going to order that, then I saw this:

I went with the Pall Atelier in the end. It should be here any time now.

This is the first time I ordered from Etsy. As a matter of fact I never heard of it before. I love the fact that I can order hand made items directly from the makers and hopefully they profit more for their work. The down side is the exchange only policy, but I understand that for a small shop like that they may have to do that to stay in business.

That was definitely on my short list. My biggest stumbling block with the Pall Atelier was one pocket for cash and cards. I'm a bit of a klutz. (Okay, a tremendous klutz.) And I could see myself dropping stuff every time I reached for something.

Another Etsy vendor I really liked was Portel's line of "retromodern". Very similar to Brussardo but with "aged" leather. With hope, mine will age on its own. :)

Here's the similar model they make:

They also have the same wallet but with 2 pockets for cash and card, plus a center pouch for the phone.

Noted. I am just a tiny bit nervous about Etsy and returns etc. I went the coward's route. I am going to guess we will both end up extremely happy with our purchases. At least until we find something better. ;)

Ok guys and gals. After weeks of researching I bought a sleeve by Joli. It is BEAUTIFUL! They are a small setup out of the Netherlands and they are great people. Emailed them a few times before buying. Here's a pic of the last "case" I'll own for my iPhone5. Won't be buying tons of cases like I did for my iPhone4S. Naked + high quality sleeve is how I will roll from now on. :p

Wow. I loved your picture of this case so much I immediately ordered one. Hopefully won't get here too much later than my iPhone (I expect it by mid-next week).
Yours is the brown with aqua inside right?
How long did it take from ordering to arrive at your front door?

EDIT:
sorry for all the questions. One of the things I love most about your case is the smooth rather than textured leather. However some photos of other Joli cases, including the ones on the website are more textured. Do you know why there's a difference? Did you specifically request smooth leather or did your photo just make it look smoother than it is?

At $150 that's overpriced.

I got my wallet/pouch that I ordered off Etsy late last week. I will try to post pictures later today as well as some thoughts on it.

Funny that I am currently debating between the Brussardo as well as the Pall Atelier you guys are showing here as a second pouch/wallet. Nice thing about the Pall Atelier is that the shop owner told me for an extra 10$ they will make it to my specifications so I can use the phone with a case on it if I want.

That is one really nice thing about handmade products.

[/ATTACH]case came from home living dream, ordered the navor flip for iphone 5.

What I like about the case...

1. Build quality seems pretty good, this is a $17.50 case so don't expect bookbook type leather but it's pretty good, has alot of space for cards... 5 slots in total. Flip design is quite cool and bulk isn't that bad, it's definitely a nice case for the price.

What I don't like about the case.

The slot that holds the iphone is very thin on the front, if the iphone drops on it's face it may be a wrap, the sides offer decent protection since the leather has a good distance from where the phone starts.

I assumed it's a button that snaps into place to hold the phone but it's a magnet instead, not a big deal as it's pretty firm but I would prefer a button instead.

The flip seems durable but of course how often will I flip it open before it tears of loosens? Only time will tell...

I'll a blue collar guy so don't bash, if you want me to take more pics please ask.

Yeah, this one!

I like pouches. Had the Sena Ultra Silm for my 3G, 4 and 4S. But for the winter they are not practicable. Difficult to use with gloves. I have lost two in the street in all the confusion of removing the pouch and my gloves.

Looks promising! So damn hard to tell if the Cambie at $55 is a bargain vs. the Brussardo at $79.

Somebody will have to be a guinea pig. The good news is Cambie has a strong return policy. I've seen some Etsy sites that don't allow returns which seems kind of extreme. But then again, Brussardo has a statement on their site which says something along the lines of "because of the instability of the US dollar, we reserve the right to charge more for our products than stated at the time of purchase..." WTF?

So I guess we're all guinea pigs and need to provide feedback for those following us to ensure they don't make the same mistakes we do. Ah the pleasures of early adoption....

I sent them an email (Cambie) about the leather used for the area where the iPhone goes and they responded right away. I wanted to know if the leather on the outside of the wallet was the same as used on the inside pocket. They said that the pocket is a softer leather. I might bite the bullet. For sure I will review here if I do.

Ordered Friday and got it by the following Wednesday. I ordered the black and aqua one. I did request a smooth leather texture. You'll love it. It's really high quality and I did a lot of research before ordering a sleeve. This was exactly what I wanted and less than $100 which was a big requirement. Enjoy it!
