Can you name the usual suspects in the forum? Seems you have a list. I have this issue and don’t hate Apple. Let me get this right, if I have the issue is because I hate Apple? WTH?? Go ahead and put your money, you’ll be broke in a matter of seconds. Perhaps you’re the troll.
Naming and shaming isn’t allowed here, but you already knew that. Nice try. A bit remedial, but expected.

Actually, I'm still on the latest ios 12 on my ipad pro 10.5 and it started doing what everybody describes since about the last update. So the problem might have already been there but maybe everyone had moved on to 13 by the time it would have become noticeable. Anybody else still on 12 and plagued with this issue?

I didn’t notice it before, and I use my iPad a lot, switching between multiple apps.
Try doing a Reset All Settings, maybe that fixes it.

A growing number of iPhone and iPad users have complained about poor RAM management on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, leading to apps like Safari, YouTube, and Overcast reloading more frequently upon being reopened. We've lightly edited some of the comments to correct things like capitalization.

Artist, designer, and developer Nick Heer wrote this on his blog yesterday:On his blog, developer Michael Tsai has rounded up similar complaints on Twitter.

Marco Arment:Christopher Stephens:Cabel Sasser:More complaints are found in this Twitter thread, in this Reddit thread, in the Apple Support Communities, and elsewhere on the web.

Affected users are hoping this issue can be resolved in a future software update. We've reached out to Apple for comment.

Same here, Issues with music app abruptly closing/crashing while simply scrolling the playlist. Reported this to apple but no joy. Issue still persists.

Sounds like Apple is having the same issue with their Beta program as Microsoft did with their Insider Preview program for Windows...interesting...
I don’t like that Apple has public betas. Too many people install it just for the features instead of beta testing.

I think iOS has gotten worse because of public betas.

Zero defects I've seen.

In order for the system to be optimal it has to be using the entirety of its memory constantly. If you've got dozens or more processes idling in the background you bet they'll get punted to keep the performance high on what you are actually using.

This isn't OS X folks and more to the point the new baseline in 2020 will be 16GB for that so get used to older systems being slowly to swap between apps.

Have to agree ram allocation is as bad as I’ve ever seen it in the last few years.

I’m having a devil time with twitter, it randomly crashes back to the Apple screen and then is very slow to boot up.

Often when trying to paste a pic twitter freezes for a minute or so.

Drivability was so much better on this and a safari at points in the late beta phase.

I’m on an iPhone 6S with ca 25 of 128 GB still available.

I've always felt that, just like the Apollo missions, Apple should have skipped using the number 13. :)
iOS 13 is riddled with bugs but it is also far faster than previous iOS versions.
As an app developer it is more obvious to me that there's been a massive re-write in 13, probably a re-write from ObjC to Swift, which is why it is quicker and slicker and buggy as hell.
I keep getting emails from my app users, who have bought new iPhones and iPads, asking why their in-app purchases aren't restoring on their new devices. It's an iOS13 bug, and if you google around, a commonly reported one.
So 13 is going to be the iOS version to avoid until spring if you are still on 12.
14 should be mint.

This is the Twitter app right now. Safari view controller doesn’t load anything. If you copy the link to Safari it will open. Sick of bugs, Apple!

iPhone X got ram management issues but I haven’t experience this with the pro

Yes, it is crazy frustrating trying to do multitasking. Join a webex conference, switch away to do some other stuff, come back and it cold boots, tombstone, or whatever that is that doesn't resume where you were. WTH.

I wonder if it's the underlying problem with the crazy battery drain. A 15 minute phone call results in 5 to 10% battery drain.

Did iOS 12 get an updated version of Safari alongside iOS 13?

definitely having the issue on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. went from typing an email to a phone call and back in a matter of 30 seconds and my email that I was typing was gone. Hope this gets fixed!

I’m so glad this thread exists. I thought it was just my 11 Pro Max. It’s flushing apps/memory waaaaay too aggressively. This reminds me of RAM issues when I had my iPhone 6 Plus. In the case of that phone it was a literal RAM shortage.

Yes, this forum is sick. 90% people here literally HATE Apple.

Yes, my XS keep open aps for many days.

It's not about apps staying "open", but instead maintaining "state".

I'm logged into MacRumors on my iPhone XR. After several minute of using other apps, I'm no longer logged in when I return to Safari. This has repeated itself four times already today, and never happened with earlier versions of iOS.

safari is reloading frequently on my Pro Max. I like to listen to archived radio shows on the web. On 13.1, I could start listening in the morning and pick up where I left off numerous times throughout the day. Now on 13.2, safari will reload every time that I leave the app return which kicks me back to the login screen. It’s annoying.

Okay, but shouldn’t something like this have been noticed before ever getting out the door? 🤔

Is Apple even testing this stuff anymore? This is too huge to not even notice.
I keep reading all these reports of their employees being overwhelmed and it shows. They are having a difficult time with quality control. A terribly difficult time. Especially after iOS 12 was such a solid release (not very exciting but solid nevertheless). I guess we’ll see in the following days.
Again, my expectation is that this gets fixed without a beta in a 3.2.1 release next week.
