Yeah I forgot. Samsung took an S2, curved the edges a little bit and made the screen 0.3 inches bigger. Sorry 'bout that.

Clearly you've never held either of these handsets or you would realise how daft that statement is. The moral here is, if you're not knowledgeable about a subject, stay quiet.

Too all the haters: stop hating. The new iPhone will have superb camera, it will be the fastest smartphone ever, it will have a very nice screen, it will have a very durable high quality exterior and it will have the best OS you can imagine.

Seriously, what else do you want?

The gap between Apple and the competitors is not so big as it used to be, but Android-devices are still years behind the quality Apple offers.

I can imagine a better OS than iOS :p

"Offended" ? Really? Odd choice of words.

Perhaps if it had the "F- bomb" engraved on the side, or upon activation, Siri said "you look fat in those jeans".

Yes the ugliness of this taller screen design is offensive to my eyes. It reminds me of the LG Chocolate BL40 phone which was equally rubbish looking.

The reason I want a larger screen in both height and width is so that I can use the phone in landscape mode without everything looking squished which it will on this taller screen.

Hopefully this is all fake and the new one looks totally different.

Why only display is in question

Why everyone is just discussing the look and display of new iphone?
It seems true that Apple is going to launch its new iphone by the end of September. The new iphone could have more attraction with its upgraded Specs and features.
So i am eager to know about the Specs and features

Glass is fragile; plastic will survive multiple drops. Add a big ugly case and you add durability but now the appeal of a esthetically pleasing phone is lost. Fragile and pretty, or ugly and durable; not a particularly appealing set of tradeoffs.

Ok, tell Samsung to remove the home button the GS3. It's so clunky and could give room for a 5 inch screen.

I cannot fathom the fact that people think the current iPhone design is "outdated". It's without a doubt the nicest and highest quality industrial design on the market today. I think it's the only smartphone that employs metal around the sides with glass on the front and rear. All other devices use cheap plastic or polycarbonate yet their designs aren't considered outdated or ugly by anyone. The iPhone doesn't need a revamped design every year because you or other people aren't content with it's high quality. If you want a design that changes every year, get a Galaxy S3 or something else that runs Android.

An upgraded camera is fine with me and a valid hope, but if the optics are garbage, megapixels mean nothing. The iPhone has one of the best cameras on a phone (next to the Pureview I guess) and also has really good optics. The S3 and One X don't compare. Apple isn't going to upgrade to megapixels just for the sake of making the number higher. I only see them upgrading the optics this year.

I'm fairly confident this is going to be a great device and will have some great new hardware features, but if you're not, hey, that's fine.

I think that's part of the problem. I think a lot of people think its going to be like the BL40, but it won't be. The BL40s screen is a lot longer.

Haha. In the famous words of Chad Warden "It looks like a Dil-do". :p

The best thing about this phone to me is the headphone jack and new dock cable. Otherwise its just a ok upgrade.

I'm so happy other people here remember chad warden, one of the best trolls of all time
