I ordered the first version of the Comply tips. They began disintegrating as soon as I began using them, and they did not seal at all compared to the Apple tips. They suck.

Excited, I purchased the first version of these overpriced foam nubs. They were absolutely horrible and I threw them out the same day I received them. Maybe rushed to market? IDK. Can't trust the company again...

My obsession to replace Apple's silicone tips ended that day and I've never been happier. BTW, if you're having issues with Apple's tips sliding out of your ears like I did, just take a tissue (most of the time I just use my t-shirt) and clean out your ears a bit before putting them in. Then they stay in like they're supposed to.

The v1 wasn't so good as the foams kept popping off the APPs, many times when you're either trying to get them In your ear or Out your ear. You have to be calm to finger out the foam tips that popped loose in your ear.
Left a honest review and got a Comply email response. The company issued a refund for my purchase.
Still have those v1 3 pairs tips... one pair stunk, 2nd pair works fine enough though sometime do pop off and the last pair is kept as a reserve.
Found no-name brand foam tips on eBay that was Less expensive and worked better.
May give Comply another chance on v2.
Their foam tips worked for other earphone sets from Shure and Westone.

I like “Comply“ they make quality products at a reasonable price point. These should make a good addition for those who use wireless headphones...

However, I won’t take the plunge, because the audio quality being transmitted to the device is maxed out at 255kbps. There has been zero improvement in actual “bitrate“ since the original AirPods debuted. You can’t even listen to max quality 320 kbps on Pandora or Spotify...it is limited at 255kbps.

Apple serve 256 AAC, so far as I understand Spotify and Pandoras 320kbps OGG stream is converted to a 255 AAC stream, giving you (almost) the same 320kbps equivalent via the AirPods.

“Theyayarealivin“ wants to talk about lawsuits...well here is a lawsuit for you...
Tidal supposedly offers lossless audio for a premium price...however it is impossible to transmit anything above 255kbps to your ears when Tidal says it pushes up to 999kbps. They are committing fraud on the App Store with those practices and any other streaming app that forces the user to pay a subscription premium to unlock HQ lossless audio should be held to account as well... because it is a lie
Look for Apple to “gloss” over this tiny little fact when they introduce their over-ear headphones this fall. The gullible masses will actually believe they are buying a superior product, when in fact it faces the same 255kbps bottleneck that every Bluetooth capable Apple device has put in place.

Use a freaking cable ya' Wally. Tidal don't restrict you from using one, or an audio interface to stream the music. So how are they committing fraud ?

Anyone who wants High quality sound knows that you cant beat a wire at this current moment in time and you hardly need lossless audio when you are at the gym or on commuting which is the most probable use case for a set of bluetooth headphones - they don't have low enough latency for pro applications anyhow.

Secondly you and I have no idea what Apple will release. They could have mega high bandwidth codecs on the cards, but my guess is that for those who need low latency and Lossless audio there will be a wired option to get the best out of these new cans.

Android has some devices with a superior codec that can transmit above 255kbps, but Apple wants to become a 2 trillion dollar company, and giving their customers the best audio experience in 2021 would inhibit that goal.🤠

Apple serving what's best for the Majority of their customers and works well with their streaming music service *gasp!*

Listening to 255kbps audio is no way to go through life, live each day like it’s your last and have no regrets. Pushing 999kbps on (2016) iPhone SE🕺

With a wire right ? I love high bandwidth audio as much as anyone, but expecting it from wireless right now ...

Anyhow, back on topic. IMHO Comply tips are way overpriced in general and haven't found them any better on my in-ears than KZ foam tips which cost $2 for 3 pairs.

I bought the originals, pretty good. But the clicking mech, stopped working and lost the tips many times. They are replacing for free, however, I managed to get a set of 8 on Amazon for a tenner that seem to be just as good!

Microsoft's Surface Headphones 2 support 320kbps bit rates. And they sound amazing.

I liked my Comply foam tips, but they kept falling off. I never thought to call them and complain, I just assumed I wasted $25. I initially was excited when they released a new product 3-4 months later that fixed my issue, I just assumed Comply was going to resolve the problem by sending me the new version. That didn't happen.

They told me "it was unfortunate we hadn't heard from you sooner regarding your issue".

That didn't sit well with me. After 10+ e-mails back and forth and including their CEO on a few responses, I am happy to say I am receiving a complimentary set (yes, all 3). They initially wanted me to pony up another $25. A few e-mails later, they wanted to send me 1 pair, which was unacceptable. Finally after much effort, they agreed to send an entire replacement set.

Their first product should have been recalled/replaced and IMO, Comply did a terrible job supporting their product and customers. I had to fight to get the replacements I deserved, but I'm afraid others will be told to buy new ones or just given a single pair. It changed my opinion of Comply as a company and will likely make me look elsewhere on future products.

We'll see how the new ones work out when they arrive.

Its some BS for all of us who spent a whopping $30 on the first gen ear tips and now they expect us to spend that again when they finally release a product that (supposidly) works. Everyone who bought the first gen tips should get the non defective ones as an automatic replacement from the company.
Not sure why you are ranting about this. I got an email from Comply on 9/15 stating they would be sending me a code to redeem for a replacement set of the 2.0 tips.

I bought the 2.0 and while better than the tips from Apple, still not great. I find them uncomfortable and the AirPods still fall out.

I've had these for a couple of weeks now and I like them a lot. The seal is good, they don't disconnect from the stem and they don't fall out.

As someone that was planning to buy AirPods Pro and uses Spotify high quality, I had no idea there was a max bitrate of 255 kbps on AirPods.

Is the bass improved with these? The APP tips let a lot of air in and don't seal too well, so bass is really "tinny" compared to the Jabra 75t's..

Thanks for this. Does anyone know if it's mostly safe to assume if we use medium with the stock tips, medium for comply tips should be fine?
That's actually what the Comply website says. There's a chart on the 2.0 page. My M silicon tips are a bit loose so I went with L foam tips.

I just bought six pairs of cheap (£9.99) "New Bee" Chinese memory foam tips from Amazon, and they're great. They snap on just like Apple's silicone tips. I honestly don't see the value in what Comply are offering.

Where does that company sell ones for APP? I see some pairs for other headphones, but not Apple

Are there any other differences than the interconnect so it connects better and more seamlessly like the original silicon ones from Apple?

I have Gen1/Rev1 and I've been using Comply Foam for years and got the medium ones as that's what I'm using on all their other models. But medium on Gen1/Rev1 was just too small. Due to how these are designed to fit the AirPods Pro you end up with much less foam on the actual ear tips. So the mediums is perhaps the same overall size compared to their other models but you have so little foam going into your ear that they won't really make for a great seal.

I'm tempted to go large on Gen2 unless they've added additional foam to them compared to Gen1?

Spotify's 320kbps OGG is converted to a comparable 255kbps AAC - audio quality issues would lie with the conversion rather than the bitrate.

Spotify's HQ sound quality is iffy at the best of times anyhow so I'd be surprised to hear any major variaton. If streaming from an 256 AAC source (e.g. Apple Music) to AirPods there is no real difference to using wires.

I bought v 1.0 and they were terrible, falling out of the ear and even worse, the foam would detach and stay in the ear. I wrote an honest review and they actually sent me a refund. Cudos for that but i am not keen on trying version 2.0 until i see a lot of positive reviews. Tried some cheaper ones on Amazon and they are better but have now gone back to Apples original tips again.

I had been using Comply foam tips for in-ear headphones for years and I loved them. They've consistently given me a great seal in my ears and can wear them for long periods of time. So I ordered the v1 and used them for a month (before v2.0 got announced). During the month of usage on v1, the APP got used almost every single day. After about 2 weeks I had my left ear foam tip detach from the APP. It kept coming off in my ear when I took them out of my ear, so I inspected it closer to see that a small piece that held it onto the APP had snapped off (no wonder it was coming off so easily). I swapped it out with one of additional tips in the package and then switched up how I took the APP out of my ear and didn't have any issues after that. Granted, I shouldn't have to change how I take it out of my ear.

Still, I liked how they felt in my ear and they did improve my noise cancellation, as well. So I decided to try the v2.0. Was very skeptical, especially having just bought the v1 only a month prior. However, I am happy to report, they did change things enough to make these completely satisfactory to me. I can put these in my ear just a little bit faster, not having to fiddle as much with squeezing them before putting them in. What's more, taking them out is now as worry-free and easy as the original tips from Apple. This is how v1 should have been.
