If the code is straightforward, then why are different screen sizes such a big problem/issue for developers?

They still have to come up with different resolution/sized graphics in their apps.

Why is this issue never raised with all of Androids different screen sizes?

Don't be confused, read the SDK documentation and reccomendations given to developers.

im happy with the current size of my ipad. but i dont mind having the option of getting a smaller one if it looks and or feels better. i guess i just have to see the product and test it out. but if apple does come out with a new ipad with better display and facetime capabilities and all the new hardware in it. i know im getting one.

i have my macbook pro with me all the time and i guess having a smaller and im assuming lighter 7inch ipad is a lot better than the bigger ipad. i dont mind a bigger storage capability though.
