looks great but how will it be if one has a lots of notification widgets will it just be endless scrolling?

For those of us who have had this features for years on other platforms, you will never have that many because you'll be clearing them as they come. Apps shouldn't be blowing up your notification screen, and you can turn them off. Games telling you that you have new lives, back ups telling you photos uploaded to cloud, etc.

And not being a smart alec, but seriously considering going back to an iPhone. It's finally almost got all the features I left it over. If I could just make Google Now the default over Siri (sorry Siri, you kind of suck) and change default maps, etc. I would not even hesitate.

It would be great if the widgets could be smaller like say, live tiles on WP. I think the widgets would be more efficient that way. I hope we don't have to wait until iOS 9 or 10 to see that..

Agreed like the apps icon being dynamic similar to "tiles" and updating on the fly. Maybe with larger screen phones out we'll see that in the future.

Breaking News has a widget. It shows the most recent headlines as opposed to watched topics.

I like the idea of the PCalc widget--just a bit quicker than Apple's calculator in Control Center. I hope the widget can be customized like the main app can be (probably not). I'd add a couple personal calculations I do a lot.

Definitely have to wait, tried the yahoo weather widget it sticks out from the left but that's cause the OS takes that small space I presume, it sure does optimisation or it looks weird.

4S feels laggy by a bit, almost 1 sec delay or lower not much of an issue but with many a widgets on, it'll be overkill as I got low memory reports.

Time to get my hands on 6, or the Plus can't bloody decide! :D

Hmmm some I don't really get how useful they are they seem more like a notification that doesn't go away. Evernotes looks nice, the credit card one looks decent and useful as well but not sure I really want someone to get a peek at my cc balance. Lastly Yahoo, for real? I've finally seen something uglier on iOs then the icons. :p

Retro for Instagram

Retro 2.2 brings support for Today View (require iOS 8). You can quickly check your timeline & subscriptions without open Retro at all. This has full support for multiple accounts too. If you’re managing a lot of Instagram accounts in Retro you’re gonna love this new feature.

May sound silly, but someone needs to create a simple large digital clock (or any clock) widget. The use case is: Listening to music while working out, or even just walking outside. Difficult to see what time it is. The only indication of time is the small clock at the top center (banner). And even if the phone was off, turning it on shows cover art in lieu of the time, so need to hit the home key again.

It would be so easy to swipe down and see a time widget that i pin to the top position.

Rather inconvenient, but better than nothing. Let's see when apple comes to their senses and adds desktop widgets.

To be fair pressing the home button twice (once to turn on the screen and once to show the clock) seems faster than turning on the screen via the home or lock button and then swiping down to bring down the notification center (and that's assuming you want to have the whole Notification Center or pats of it available on the lock screen to begin with). That said, it'd be nice to have a widget like that nonetheless.

Where is the standard Weather notification, the one that is alway's bin there? I can't see him in the options. Only thing i see is that the Weather information comes from The Weather Channel but that's it.

The Yahoo widget looks terrible :/

I had this. check privacy, location sharing. All mine were off after reboot because I have the do not change setting on in restrictions.

Yahoo can't kill that margin

Edit: the margin is because of the app icon on the left side. Only widgets that don't have it are the built in one's you cannot remove.. Ie the date

News Republic managed to do it.

Any chance of seeing a widget for favorites contacts (with call, email and sms options). This is the key reason that I jailbreak the phone.

There is. Launcher.

You may have to open the stock weather app at least once for it to start showing up. I had to do that after updating to iOS 8.

Hold phone up to ear to launch Siri

It seems after upgrading, The option to hold the phone up to ear to launch Siri is not available. Is this correct?

If so they have deleted a very useful feature especially when walking in a busy and loud area
