I ordered two watches that will both arrive tomorrow. I have zero sympathy for the peeps that won't be getting their watches tomorrow.

As cold as that may sound, here's why I say what I say. I set my alarm for 2:55am EST to be sure to lock in my orders ASAP. Therefore, I did the work and tomorrow will be my reward.

Meanwhile, the too little or too late people who missed the early train will have to enjoy their new watch at a later date. Maybe next time they can put more effort in to waking up early so they can be included in the first wave batch as well.

A lot of people with 12:01 orders including me who did just like you are not getting their watches tomorrow. But I will say this I am glad you are one of the lucky ones!

Apple has done a stellar job with this launch. The complainers here are just close-minded, thinking only within themselves, and haven't cared to study or appreciate the larger issues. Consider:

- This is an entirely new product line for Apple, with more complexity and combinations than ever before offered.

- They completely redesigned and reconfigured everyone of their retail stores for this, including training employees, and designing everything from fixturing, stands, electrical systems, to coded locks, to furniture with built-in storage slots and charging drawers. Some truly magnificent design and engineering here.

- They found a way to show this product to the public in a very space-efficient manner, and had samples for personal try-on available at every store.

- They meet every deadline and promise that they made to the public.

- The did a splendid job with the rollout, starting with the October Apple event, the followon provision of review samples, and finally the mass rollout to their store and employees.

- many, many folks were PLEASANTLY surprised to get watches on launch day. All you had to do was hang back, do a bit of research, and you could quickly find the models (sport w/blue; 38mm SS/classic) that could be ordered up to THIS MORNING for receipt TOMORROW.

-If you're complaining that you can't get a watch, it's because of your individual choice, not the availability. They were there for the ordering.

Congrats Apple, you pulled off a magnificent launch with unprecedented complexity, and fair-minded consumers can recognize what you did. The haters, well, we all know....

Do you have a tracking number if you do stop antagonizing people who don't and shut the &@$! Up

My watch is in "July" status. 42mm SS Space Black link. I also know enough about big rollouts to realize Apple has pulled off something here very, very few companies could manage.

Chill, dude (or dudette). The proper response to an opinion you don't agree with is to present an alternate which supports your side. Not "shut the &@$! Up". I realize that's how your college teaches you to respond to uncomfortable ideas today, so I'm sorry I didn't put a trigger warning in my original note.

Yes they did. People are just mad they didnt get their order at the stroke of dawn on 4/24 even though Apple never promised that.

Wow. Good for you. I didn't even go to sleep. Hit refresh. Ordered at 3:00 and 30 seconds. No watch.

What work did you do exactly? Shoe your high horse?

Maybe next time you can stay up instead of going to bed like a child.

Oy vay. Since I just had one post sort of defending Apple...now I'll post on the otherside.

The idea that someone would order a watch they don't want, in a color they don't want and a size they don't want, just so they can get it tomorrow is laughably ridiculous and to blame customers for the lack of supply is a nice little joke on your part.

The idea that people who order a watch they want within 4 minutes of it going on sale, and are told they need to wait up to 6 weeks...or those that order a watch within a minute of sale, and don't get it on launch day...are closed minded, is a bit insane too.

Apple fans have a right to be pissed and it has nothing to do with being closed minded. Apple themselves have set the expectation on what a product launch is, and that is why the retail director has had to send many mea culpa explanations to confused retail staff.

But...Apple is intentionally controlling the size of the launch and first day shipments, or they would have had a 6 week pre-order period and launched the product to mass fanfare and lines in stores in June. They know there are going to be confused customers in store asking for help setting the product up and wanted to give the retail staff time to manage it before 1 million confused customers walk in begging for help to get the watch set up.

Let me cry a tear or two just for you....

They did so good that there's a thread with over 800 posts full of people with 38mm Space Grey Sport models that haven't received any status updates and charges for their watch.

Mega success.

how much apple **** are you sucking, OP?

its not a matter of 24/4 - 8/5. people that put in the effort to pre-order on the dot are being shafted for people that pre-ordered later. its not rocket science. its unfair.

My thoughts exactly! I woke up at 2:45AM WITHOUT an alarm and STILL ended up with a May 13-27 delivery window!

How would have guessed that Apple didn't make enough space gray sport with black bands?

So basically, you're a self entitled pr*ck.

I woke up at 2:45 and had my confirmation by 3:03 with a 24th-8th date. I did the same as you (actually more since j got up earlier) and I don't get "my reward"

So having zero sympathy is you just being an as*hole

HE PUT THE WORK IN.

You and I, sadly, did not. :(

This makes me laugh...Thanks for that. Especially since the SS is the one I keep and the Sport is the one I sell....

This is what pisses me off. I am optimistic and while I am still in Processing limbo I am fine. Whatever, it will get here when it gets here, but buying one just to sell? Do what you want with it, but thats just not fair thing to do and honestly this is not the best place to make a case for it.

I am not against this launch, while it could have been better... tomorrow is only the 24th and Apple has not lost my business simply because they haven't hit the first day for everyone. People like you are the reason that some people won't get the one they wanted when they wanted it simply because you had no respect for your fellow man and you decided to up charge someone on eBay. Good for you.

Burberry hasn't had a product launch since 1856 so I guess Angela is a little rusty. :)

Lol. You know what an idiot you sound like? Do you not realize the thousands of other people that set their alarm just like you did? You didn't do anything special - you simply got the luck of the draw.

But way to be an asshat.
