But I believe it will have little impact on sales. Will it be addressed at the next WWDC..mm yea probably but I don't think there will be anything further. I don't think anyone is going to "not" buy the 6 Plus now.. I could be wrong with all of this but its my intuition.

Why would this be addressed at the next WWDC? You realize that's a software conference for devs, right?

Well, I'm an Apple user since when... 1989? But you can bet if my new iPhone 6 bends in my pocket without sitting on it I would post it here and all over the net.

Good thing they don't, or thered be millions and millions of returns.

Come on man, I only have two hands. I was holding the phone and ruler with one hand, and taking the photo with the other hand, all of which was pointed at my ceiling light.

This is NOT what everyone is up at arms about. This phone is FIXED. I was able to bend it back to flat. Just wait until Monday and I'll show you what everyone is complaining about.

----------

No kidding, I told you that already. You demanded a picture TODAY, and I told you that the only phone I have in front of me is mine which I managed to fix. The corner is still bent slightly whether you want to admit it or not, but nowhere near as bad as the other phone.

And by the way, what you're saying is light refracting from the ruler to the phone is the reflection of my fingers holding the camera, so YOU try again. I took the photo with no flash. The only light source is coming from BEHIND the phone.

So you have an appointment with Apple for two phones bent and you fix it by yourself with a ruler???
Sorry mate, now I don't believe you anymore....

Any normal customer would try to have his phone analyzed with the defect visible and THEN, if the vendor refuse warranty, try to fix it.

Yes I do but if you'll remember that in the past they've addressed other "issues" in subtle ways. "You're holding it wrong" or why they've added certain features in response to high numbers of comments. It won't be a dedicated segment but I can definitely see a subtle or slight reference to it.

If you see a regular guy take an iPhone 6 plus on YouTube and bend it with his bare hands easily, this is real life test.
If you read that people went to a party and return with bent iPhone, that's real life test.
IPhone 6 plus got a design bug as the iPhone 4 antena, live with it. There is no need to defend apple no matter what.

Except you don't know the regular guy on YouTube and he can easily be paid by someone (especially a regular guy that can buy multiple iPhone in a few days when other regular guys are waiting for weeks) and the people that went to the party is a member that post here only to show defects on every single Apple product he bought.

Live with that.

I would not even post here if my iPhone 6 / 6 plus would be bent. Just to be flamed ? Fortunately I have none and will look what Apple releases with the 6s.

You guys don't like the idea there could be a problem and even ignore the facts that the new phones are considerable weaker than the previous generation. Why you do ? Was that thingy that expensive that it MUST be good ?

Not everything Apple does or makes is good and has been good. You know this ?

My question is, what kind of real life situations would apply 70 (or 90) pounds of force. How common would it be for a phone to be subjected to that. Can a tight pocket / hip crease apply that much force or more? Clearly you can apply that much force with your bare hands (as the original viral bend gate video showed). It's interesting to know how the phone stands up against other phones in a more scientific experiment that some dude trying to bend a phone with his hands (including the much strong iPhone 5)... but it would be more helpful to have some real world examples of exactly what 70 or 90 pounds of force means.

It's entirely possible Samsung paid him to register at MR in 2005 sensing Apply is preparing a smartphone launch in 2007 so he can come and diss the 6-th gen in 2014. To me it makes perfect sense.

You don't have to be paid to be an Apple hater. I'm facing several since the nineties.....

The sheer stupidity of folks on here and in the world in general saddens me. It's like people have have devolved into mindless drones that need to be pampered constantly.

An aluminum phone that is thin will bend if you attempt to bend or sit on it. This is not specific to Apple. This is common sense. Basic stuff learned in elementary school. Do you buy a $600+ and sit on it? Do you not take care of your valuables?

One time I left a fairly new plastic smart phone on my car dashboard during the hot summer. It's cracked with a long run across it. When I saw it, I didn't hop online and make a video to blame the manufacturer. I blamed myself for being careless. I dealt with with and moved on.

Phones are bending with normal use, WITHOUT being sat on.

So you truly believe phones are being bent by just holding them in your hand and using them? 9 people have reported this to Apple and you have this intimate knowledge about what happened?
