Hey, apple fanboys don't take criticism (or competition) well. Swicth to Android, enjoy it, and come back to taunt them. Tether your iPad with the EVO, or Nexus One, and laugh all those who can't tether non-jb iphones to their precious iPad.

Like someone else has probably mentioned in this thread, I'd say go try out the Evo and the new iPhone and see which you like better
In terms of 4G vs 3G, 4G is barely ready and definitely isn't widespread at all (as far as I can tell anyway). I even read somewhere that the upgraded 3G networks will initially be just as fast as the first 4G networks, is that right?

Then just go. I got bored of my iPhone and switched to a Nexus One. Can't wait to get back to iPhone I hate Android so much.

Dude don't pay attention to the bashing.. I feel you. We all do.. some of the forum folks just live in an area that AT&T actually covers. I've owned all 3 iPhone's the moment they came out and I'm jumping ship tomorrow as well. Sure, I'll be back when the iPhone makes its way to Verizon but I can't go another day with AT&T's service regardless of how awesome the iPhone's feature set may be on Monday.. I'm as much of an Apple guy as you all are.. I've got a few iPads, a new i7MBP, 2 iPhones, Airport Extreme, etc, etc, etc.. I'm knee deep in it.
The "AT&T covers 98% of all Americans" claim must be if they all stayed at home and never travelled anywhere.
They've had too many chances for too many years.. I need it to actually make calls.

Reasons to stick to ATT/iPhone and not join Sprint/Android party:
1. ATT has Great coverage. It covers almost 98% of the all Americans.
2. Talk and Surf at the same time.
3. Fastest 3G network in the nation.
4. Luke Wilson is ATT's ad-man. He is nice actor.
5. iPhone is shiny!
6. Steve Jobs is the most popular CEO.
7. Monday is WWDC. Next magical iPhone is gonna land!
8. There could be similar awesome features such as copy/paste, mms etc.
9. ATT ads are sometime better than Sprints!
10. They say Sprint is not good in terms of service!
11. 4G is not even available in many places and there is not guarantee of it's availability where you live! Sprint has announced 4G launch soon in Visalia, CA but not in LA, SFO, etc etc. That tells you it's 4G priority list.
12. Sprint is CDMA. GSM phones, especially iPhone, resale value is very high. You can sell it easily and immediately update to new one. CDMA phone has limited market and demand from resale point of view.
13. Android, hmmm, still not as smooth as iPhone OS. It's not about features but about how many you can really use perfectly.
14. iPhone has awesome iTunes integration for your media, contacts, notes, calendar and backed by Apple. Android still has to use some third party unreliable apps.
15. Apple App store. Apple iPad is going to keep focus on app development for iPhone too. Android is still gathering steam there. You can wait.
16. Apple product owners are considered cool, not so for Android owners.

Do you realize that not every phone is the best in every location ? If Verizon is the best for your area of use then get Verizon but please don't imply that everyone else has issues with AT+T coverage. Many people do have issues but, also many people do NOT.

Ha, I'm using a dumb go-phone of some sort. I can't wait for next week. I think I got a little carried away in selling my iPhone a few months ago, but at least I got a good price.
why do we have to "convince you" ? I always hate these "convince me" threads. if you want the pros and cons of both then ask for the pros and cons. don't ask us to convince you like your phone choice means anything to us.
