Right now I can think of a million things I can spend $1200 on. I used to be hyped for the Apple Watch but that hype is dying fast. Every day I wake up with less hype and I fear one of these days I'm just going to wake up and cancel the order (maybe ill find a cheap model when they're more available in June since that's how long I have to wait anyway!)

Plus, Apple's attitude toward this whole thing is very anti-consumer. So yeah, I'm a little salty.

How about you just buy the Sport version then...You could save over $800 by doing so.

If you want a watch RIGHT now...order the 38MM Classic Buckle for $700. They're shipping in less than 2 days.

No one is going to convince you not to cancel. If you cancel, it will just bump up their spot in the queue by one, and because of the backlog, every spot in the queue counts.

If I ordered the Sport it would have to be the Black model, which I believe has a shipping date similar to my own. I don't like how the light metal looks on the watch (looks like a toy) .. So that rules out the 38MM SS. Plus, I've seen so many horror stories from people with micro scratches all over their SS watch.. Something I was trying to avoid with the SB SS.

Right. I was more asking this question of People who already received their Apple Watch. What makes this thing worth waiting for? Can anyone even answer that question besides "lol apple lol"

Have you tried Swappa, eBay, or Craigslist? You're going to pay over retail, but you'll be able to find the exact watch you want.

It's all your choice! If you want to cancel feel free. I am sure others would be happy to move up on the list.

Okay. Again, I'm asking what FEATURES from the watch make this stupid wait worth it? I could care less about my spot in line, or if the watch will get scratched. What makes the Apple Watch worth it? Can anyone even answer this question?

I've been feeling the same way since last Friday. But I know I would hate myself if I did cancel. Instead I stopped checking my credit card activites, /r/applewatch, and macrumors forums every hour. I'm going back to my normal life. It gets here when it gets here. No sense in watching paint dry.

All those "horror stories" are overblown. Yes, stainless steel scratches. No, I haven't noticed any after 10 days of use, even after dropping it today onto a hardwood floor (unintentionally).

It doesn't look like a toy at all, particularly when paired with the Classic Band. It looks like a watch. There are lots of regular watches in shiny stainless steel. This looks like one of them. Remember, the face is dark black. The contrast with the stainless steel is quite nice. With the regular stainless steel you get a better selection of bands, as well.

Is this "worth" $1100? Purely as a piece of technology, no, but then again, neither is a nice regular watch. Think of Apple Watch as a "watch plus," and you'll likely be happy with it.

Great, cancel it, somebody else that really wants it will get it sooner. We don't have to convince you of anything, your choice.

Cancel your order. Let someone who wants it get bumped up a slot.

Buy yourself a sport if you're uncertain. You can always sell it later and buy a nicer model or buy the nicer model when gen 2 comes out if you like the watch.

Don't overcomplicate it.

Apple isn't being anti-consumer. They're just having supply issues. They're trying to get these out as fast as they can.

You are acting out of a want not a need. I believe the NEED for this is increased due to the lack of supply. If this watch was readily available would you still want one? My guess is no.

Cancel your order.

You should only spend $1200 on something you know you really want, if you are on the fence you should just cancel the order... you would probably only regret it once you get the watch and be thinking of the money.

There is an abundant lists of features and videos everywhere. What is good for me may not be good for you. What features caused you to buy it in the first place? Now that others have recieved their watches, are those features just as important to you? These are all things you have to answer for yourself.

Right now I can think of a million things I can spend $1200 on.

Have you ever thought about NOT ordering the MOST EXPENSIVE Apple watch model and go for a $550 SS or $349 sport?

Sorry... but you are complaining about the price for a product and then select the absolute highest model as a price point....

One of the benefits of being forced to wait so long is that we get to see the issues and drawbacks from other users. It's a great way to determine whether or not to go through with it. Good luck in your choice, which ever way you decide.

Cancel. Period.

Everybody wins in this circumstance.

That's how it works in a free market. If you don't like a company or product, don't give them your business. That's a far more reasonable response than the endless whining we hear everyday here.

I think the design of literally every other Apple Watch looks goofy, so that high price point is the only price point for me. And yes, I've seen the videos of what the watch can do. doesn't answer my question really as I am looking for more of a day by day usage.
