That auction was pretty spectacular. The NeXT boxes and packaging and the computer still look amazing now, god knows what it would have been like to spend the $10k or whatever on it and wait for delivery, then use it for three months and pack it all up.

To pay $1,110 for it now seems pretty amazing too given its condition. I wonder if that guy with the Mac basement would have considered it.

Wow - at least there's the box (a lot of the larger boxes were never kept). Hopefully you'll come across the manuals and discs to make it complete.

As it turned out, the original install disks were included, along with an Airport card. That was a surprise. :)

I'm still holding out for a Mac Plus, unused in its original box. I know, I know. You never know...

I've two already -- one modified with a Brainstorm accelerator (16 mhz 68000). That was my first Macintosh.

Nice! The PowerCD is the CD player I use in my current entertainment center. A stylish unit, it is.

blakespot

Sorry - off topic, is that a Pioneer Plasma? I was at Best Buy a couple days ago and in comparing all the ones on the wall, the 720p Pioneer Plasma actually looked better than a lot of the 1080p LCDs. The Sony and Sharp ones looked pretty close though...
