There is no connection between GPU and CPU clocking, at least not on Windows. GPU clocking and temps is handled by the ATI driver, CPU clocking and C-States are handled by Windows power-profile(s).

Throttlestop is useful and can be powerful, but you got to use it right.

Cool... threads on how to burn up your processor on MR's he he:rolleyes:

----------

Turbo boost is designed to keep the CPU at it max capacity @ 45 TDP and the peak wattage is 55 TDP watt for a few second, if there too much heat requirement are too high, it will automatically slowly clock it down ( in my case 35 watt TDP which is dual core specs, well that means 15 inch macbook pro heatsink can only handle dual core heat requirement)

"How to burn up your CPU" nice thread bro!

I set my multiplier to turbo and it overheated my GPU within 1 minute causing the graphics driver to crash

For HD 6750m users:
May drain battery power on A/C because the power adapter cannot supply more than 85 watt. You will be maxing it out if you are using the internal LCD. It is recommended to use external monitor (and disabling internal LCD). Undervolting the GPU is recommended, here an excellent guide: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1142028/

Am I able to use Throttlestop and above GPU overclocking method at the same time on my MBP 15' with 6750M?
According to the link, I can increase core/memory speed with lower voltage (0.955v).

If I have to choose one of those, which method would be more effective to enhance FPS on Skyrim?

Mine goes to sleep mode in ~ 5 mins of setting multiplier to turbo, maybe need to set it to 20-22 instead of turbo??? I've also overclocked the 6750M as well.

Weird. That's worth a try. I'm not sure squeezing out 2-3 fps is worth it tho. Seems like setting it to turbo like everyone else really causes extreme heat.
