I don't really get the Apple TV rumors. A device without a hard drive? First off I find the current model of Apple TV to be annoying cause you have to transfer all your videos to it, making another copy and wasting space.

Wrong, you are not required to transfer anything to the currrent OS for AppleTV. It works fine with my shared libraries. It's one of the reasons I bought a refurbed 40gb recently over the newer one with more hard drive.

AppleTV

A new AppleTV that's $99 that I could put on every TV would rock.

Put a camera in it so I can run FACETIME from any TV.

Create an APP Store, and that's even more awesome.

Maybe the Camera could double as in input device, similar to XBox Kinnect ;)

Does the streaming work for Video Content also?
The last time I tried that it would only let me stream music from my shared iTunes Library, not video.

Another rumor

According to the latest rumor, the Verizon iPhone will be called iPhone 5 or iPhone V. Also according to the rumor, it will feature a faster 1.2GHz processor and a slightly larger 3.7 inch display. I'll believe it when I see one on display at the Verizon or Apple store.

One part of the rumor suggests that the iP 5 will replace the iP 4 across the board. According to the rumor, it will have a Cortex 9 based processor and a number of other improvements, probably including an updated antenna design. One rumor suggested that there will be a metal, not glass, back plate and that it will be a backplane antenna design. All rumor, but the processor part would explain why Apple used the Cortex 8 processor for the iP 4...they simply did not have the Cortex 9 based processor ready at the time. This goes along with the iPad update rumors that include a processor update, more RAM to bring it up to the iPhone spec along with a Retina display & yada, yada, yada.

I think that Apple probably has concluded that the overall size of the iP4 is smaller than it needs to be (it is actually difficult to handle because it is so small) and it restricts screen size, battery size and a host of other possibilities. Please put a micro-SD card tray, like the micro-SIM card tray in it, Steve! HDMI output and micro-USB 3 would be nice, too.

If an iP 5 is really coming as soon as January for both AT&T and Verizon, I can imagine that there will be some pissed off iP 4 owners. Like I said before I'll believe it when I see it.

I still think the "full size" iPad will get the following at the next hardware refresh:

1) Faster A4 CPU, now running in the 1.2 to 1.4 GHz range.
2) More RAM, possibly as much as 1 GB.
3) Higher resolution display in a true 16:9 aspect ratio when the tablet is held in the landscape mode--possibly as high as 1600x900, which would make true display of 720p video possible.
4) Flash memory storage now offered in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants.

These improvements are all within economic reach by the time the iPad is revised in March 2011.

I certainly agree as to both points. My view is that the iP 5 is "the fix" for the iP 4 antenna and other problems with some other stuff brought up to date so that Apple can claim it is not "the fix" and so leave all the iP 4 purchasers hanging in the breeze mumbling "Never buy a Rev A, Never buy a Rev A, Never buy...."

On the other hand, there are a goodly number of people who, if one is to believe them (and I do), either have not had a problem with the antenna situation or it has not been a big deal for them. Most of the rest are probably OK with the situation with a bumper installed. My experience with the eight or ten display units I tried was that some had no problem at all and a few had a big problem which lead me to believe that there is something more involved than has been discussed, most likely either a QC issue or a problem with components from one supplier, but not others. I would have expected all of the units to behave in pretty much the same way, but they did not. Go figure.

Cheers

The device will be on its side. I also dont think the camera can zoom 10 or so feet and get a clear shot.
