If public transportation is the reason, that still is what -- maybe 2 hours out of the day at the most? Then you have about 14 more waking hours where 2 hand mode and a larger screen could be of use. So not sure public transport is a good reason based on the amount of time spent there.

Everyone has different needs.

Is this for real? Ever think that those two hours are the time they would use the phone the most? Not sure about you, but once I get to work I can't sit and play games or write blog posts on my phone.

Okay, so you don't take public transportation to work. Good for you. A lot of people do and unfortunately need to use their phones while holding on to something and being crammed between two fat guys using their phablets.

Habitual 2 handed user here - take the T(subway) every day twice a day during rush hour to/from work and I have no issues. I guess I'm talented. I can also handle a book & turn pages. Talent I tell you.

As one of those rare folks who can comfortably use a 5.5" phone with one hand with no issue, please just ****.

Yes, I am 6'8" and larger than the average bear, and I have been waiting for a larger screen iPhone for a while. I had a 4S but the screen was just too damned small, so I jumped ship to a Note 2 and I love it, but I always said if I could get an iOS device with the same screen size I'd do it in a heartbeat, so I am now waiting for my 64GB 6+.

Not everyone looks ridiculous using a large phone, it's just a matter of scale.

Right there with you. If you put my size 15 shoes on a normal sized person, many would think it looks ridiculous. On me, they're just shoes. The plus in my hands looks no different than a 6 in a normal sized person's hands.

It doesn't look too big to me, but I waited until it was launched to check it out and I'm glad I did. I wanted the plus to take the place of either an iPad or computer at meetings, paired with a Bluetooth keyboard. As long as I can use a Bluetooth keyboard in pages with it, it will be perfect once I find a case with a stand.

With that said, I couldn't see myself doing a lot of the things I normally do with a phone attached, such as exercise ride a bike etc. which seems would work well with all of the health functions.
For everyday running around, the six plus seems like a winner for me. I spent about an hour in the Apple Store playing with it and it would be an adjustment.

I also watched a lot of iphone 5 people walking through the mall texting with one hand as the walked. I could see many of them preferring the 6 or to continue with their existing phones.

September 19, 2014: watch these forums erupt with people complaining the iPhone 6+ is too big, doesn't fit in pockets, not portable enough, or requires a manpurse.

Followed by a chorus of people saying they had no idea how big it was, "don't really need" a 5.5" screen, and regret spending over $800 for a pizza peel that makes them look ridiculous.

Hmm, no "eruption" then, looks like it was just another in the long line of people who created another "look at me" thread.

Let's face it, people returned it, but there wasn't the stampede of "ZOMG, I'VE BEEN USING THIS 6 PLUS AND I CANT TAKE IT ANY LONGER, THE 6 WAS CLEARLY THE BETTER PHONE ALL ALONG AND I SHOULD HAVE GOT THAT TO START WITH AND THATS WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD DO TOO" people was there?
