MW Keynote live at Apple Stores?

Turns out I'm on vacation this week, and that I'll be 5 minutes from my local Apple Store at Noon Eastern time (9 am Pacific) tomorrow. I know the keynote is not being webcast, but does anybody know if there's a closed-circuit or other live feed that can be viewed at Apple stores?

Wishful thinking, I know, but I had to ask. . . .

Again, a contriversial idea of mine, but i think they should change the charger plug on the 'books. I like the idea of black pb's tho. Maybe a black charger like it is now, but an different shape/size for the actual part that goes into the computer. I had 2, the broken 1 had the rubber come off of the near part to the actual expansion on the computer sided plug, and the older (but working) one can only charge in some positions, and likes to turn to the position where it is not charging, maybe something like the charger for the PSP or something smaller and more sturdy. i kno its contriversial but i HATE the apple chargers, even an enlarged version of the ipod dock connecter would be better.

P.S. what have i just started

No matter what is announced tomorrow, one or more of the following groups of people will be back here cursing Apple:

1. Those that want new iBooks and Apple didn't announce any
2. Those that want new Powerbooks and Apple didn't announce any
3. Those that want new Mac Minis (count me in) and Apple didn't announce any
4. Those that want new iPods and Apple didn't announce any
5. Those that want a new consumer device. and Apple didn't announce any
6. Those that aren't going to buy anything, but just like to complain.

yes i agree with the shuffles, but why would they only say that the 1gb shuffles are sold out and not the 512's? Or maybe they're just updating the higher end one?
Perhaps. Maybe doing away with it?
Somehow I got into an odd discussion with my classmates where we decided the Shuffles would be colored neon and fruit-scented with refillable lip-gloss containders on their end. XD Aren't we fun, intellegent little people?:p

The Mac mini one seems to work well but doesn't have a built-in LED.

Are you sure you havn't just stolen my adaptors? Same problem, number 2 is on it's way out. But as the 'puter is almost 3 years old, it shall soon, be replaced, not just the adaptor but the whole machine. Yes I know the risks of a Rev. A intel PB, but I have faith that all will be fine.

Everyone that thinks that PowerBooks will be unveiled at a Developers conference are plain wrong. OS X 10.5 betas are for Developers not PowerBooks - those are consumer and business machines. About 5 years ago to the day Apple unveiled the G4 TiBook. We will see PowerBooks and iBooks, PowerBooks no iBooks, or neither PowerBooks or iBooks. PowerBooks are in MUCH more need of a serious update than iBooks. They have been sporting that form and processor for WAY longer than the iBooks. If you think that High-Rez screens are an update, well you are right, but you will also be seeing those exact screens in the new PowerBooks. watch and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the iBooks have retained the same form factor for longer than the PB's. Well, if you consider the TiBook and AlBook different forms (and I do)... the iBook has had the same exact exterior since the G3 500mhz chip that started it out :-\

The event is going to be at 3am on the 11th here is Brisbane (Australia). Oh well I'll awake to some awesome products.

True Apple geeks stay up till the crack of dawn and refresh the pages obsessively! J/K I will be in school till 2:30 so I may just catch the last part of the Stevenote. But I have already planted the seeds for a "sick day";)

Nanobook?

I was just reading a rumor at Powerbook Central about Flash memory being used possibly in a iBook. Why not? A flash based 'nanobook' would require less battery power and a thinner enclosure. Also lose the optical drive and Steve would have a really cool "...and one last thing".

Think about these specs:

12" 1280x854 widescreen (smaller dimensions for better battery life)
1.6 ghz Yonah single core (scale it down to 15 watts)
15 or 20 gig Flash memory
512 ram w/ option of 1 gig (non user upgradeable to keep small form factor)
built in battery that would be rated at 5 hours
2 USB 2.0
no firewire (sorry guys but this is a consumer model)
AE and bluetooth
Black or white versions available

Size wise? less than 1/2 a pound and a 1/4" thick!

Yeah a lot of you will complain about the lack of storage and no optical. They're going to update .Mac so for those with desktop's you'll be able to access files from where ever there's a WiFi hotspot. This is not a laptop for those who want desktop replacements but for those who want something stylish, small, thin and sexy...just like the iPod Nano! :D

From the AppleInsider forums.... so I can't take credit. But hrmm?

Those TV's must be horable if Apple has to resort to using swimsuit pictures for their new plasmas... FAKE... (obviously)

10. Those that just bought a new consumer decide and Apple announced another one
11. Those that spent all their money last month and want to buy more Apple gear

Does anyone think there could be a new database application in either iLife or iWork based on Apple's new Core Data functionality?

The most fake, crappy photo I've ever seen. It's so freaking ugly. Of course Apple won't do that! :D  ;)

Nope, the keyboard changed when they switched to G4 - from translucent to opaque keys, and to a somewhat more plasticy feel to the whole interior surface. While less significant than the difference between TiBooks and AlBooks, it is enough for someone with a G3 iBook to recognize a G4 iBook as different and viceversa.

Actually they would look even cooler if they employed the iMac G4's swivel neck. Imagine a lifesize Luxo jr. in your living room :p

Um, the flash memory thing is likely to be used for Intel's Robson caching, where a small amount of flash memory is used to store important parts of the OS and regularly used programs in order to facilitate fast (almost instant) boot time and much faster program loading.

I can't see flash memory replacing hard disk drives anytime soon - just too expensive.

No you are correct sir, but they look very similar from five feet away...still they have had the same G4s in them forever - yes they are faster now, but come on the time is now! Forget about ThinkSecret, they've been less than reliable in the last several months. To be honest, I'd be more than happy if they come out with a iBook wide screen and Mac mini with a Core Duo processor and no PowerBooks, as long as their prices remained the same or drop a little. I would buy one of each rather than a PowerBook. If it happens that way, they WILL have a "Special Event" in a month or so to release PowerBooks, no way will they wait 'til summer.
