Dumb. I don't see that on AppleInsider.

It's in the forums in the "Temporary Insanity" forum.... although it seem to have came up just when somebody asked for a picture.... so there's more reason for it to be fake :)

Plus that one tilted smaller one, just looks strange.

I have class tomorrow during the keynote. I've already decided that I'm ditching class to follow the live coverage, as it's in one of the few classrooms that still doesn't have WiFi.

I think it's pretty certain that there won't be a 2.8 GHz Yonah based mini, as Yonah doesn't go up that high. I wouldn't be surprised to see something closer to 1.6 GHz.
Ugh. I'm not ditching class. Will have it during. Have to wait until 11:45AM Central time for the news.
Are there many people on here ditching class for the keynote?
I think we have wi-fi in that classroom but.... XD we don't normally use laptops and the teacher would sort of be wondering what was up.
I agree about Yonah... 2.8GHz would be totally crazy. I think we'll see the iMac-like media center things though, and they'll be awesome. Maybe w/ plasma but... then again, maybe not. But 2.8GHz? Isn't that a bit excessive?

Bluetooth Mighty Mouse!!!!
OOOOOOOOH. Yes. That would be nice. Haven't thought of that. But I think it's quite plausible. B/c, personally, I'd rather have a wired Mighty Mouse than a wireless non-Mighty mouse, b/c that's what I'm doing right now... w/ a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse... then we're talking.

To anybody that still doubts Intel Macs tomorrow, here's something from the last World of Warcraft patch notes...

"This change will make it easier for us to release future updates to the game, for example to support upcoming Mac models based on Intel processors."

You really think they'd be making that change if Intel processors were still 6 months away?

I want to see new iPods.
Updated shuffle. I am about 95% sure that's all we'll be seeing in iPods.
Let's focus on the computer and software! WOOT!
oh, and a wireless Mighty Mouse. :D

yes i agree with the shuffles, but why would they only say that the 1gb shuffles are sold out and not the 512's? Or maybe they're just updating the higher end one?

It could be forward planning, this is not evidence* of Intel based Macs coming tomorrow.

Everyone knows Intel Macs are coming soon, and many shareware / commercial apps have been ported to Intel.

*I do think there will be at least one Mac to be announced tomorrow with an Intel processor. However, WOW is not good evidence, just preparation - it is widely expected that an Intel Mac will be released between 1 January and WWDC.

Clearly there won't be any new products announced at MacWorld this year, I mean where are the photos of new product boxes in an elevator? How come no one has reported that one of the sales people at their local Apple store leaked them the specs on new gear just as they were about to buy a "soon to be obsolete" product.
I thought Apple never told any of the store employees about new products/updates? I thought they were really secretive about that? They seemed not to know much about the day the new iPods would be in when I wanted mine. XD Now that, I knew from the keynote. ;) Maybe they just work there. Not Apple geeks.:( Nah, too nice for that.:D

how the heck will that fly? it has to be iPoddable* to work methinks. *please note i just copyrighted this word cause i've never seen it before and like it. ;)

It's kinda of hard to imagine a typical widescreen movie shrunken down, with the required black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, onto an already tiny iPod Video screen. The TV video stuff, for the most part, doesn't suffer from that, but it's still pretty small. TV video content might pass on the iPod video, but widescreen movies are a bit of a stretch, no pun intended. I think you need the new iMagnifying Glass to see anything.

But a widescreen iBook, reinvented with an even more portable iPod-reminiscent form factor (as if in a sense it's iPod Video's new "big brother") might fly for those who want movies on the go in a way that conceivably works. Whether that means you have to download the movie or not, I have no idea. But downloading faces two hurdles: 1) the amount of time it takes to fully download a high quality (at least DVD quality) movie; and 2) movie downloads have to surpass the perceived convenience and immediacy of the local DVD rental outfit and not compromise on quality.

Then again, maybe I need just a little more booze, then I'll be right there with you on this. :D

Oh, good find! Did you use any particular website to analyze the photo, or did you just use good search criteria?

LOL. I was hoping for an updated video iPod, since I was about to get one today, but then realized I only have to wait excruciatingly one more day on iPod news. Do you think Steve would surprise us all and come out with a new 6G iPod?

Here's to the Crazy Ones
Totally, totally doubt it. Hope not. :( Then my 5G iPod wouldn't be cool anymore. ;)

This may be over-simplifying things a bit, but if you look at the home page of apple.com you will find "NEW PowerMac G5", "The NEW iMac G5", and "NEW PowerBooks".
Just from that alone I would say that those 3 products will not be updated tomorrow .... I don't think they would have "NEW NEW PowerBooks", etc.

Could be wrong but just makes sense to me.

That's what you're supposed to think.

Ouch! Thank goodness I only have to wait until noon in my time zone.

Hmmmm......
I'd rather wait until 6PM and not have school. :( Pizza? Coke? A lot better than trying to do advanced math. :(
I mean, it's the same time no matter where, 6PM there it's just happening here in the US of course. So I personally wish it was later here.

How does O'Grady still have a job? He should be working for the Star or the National Enquirer.

They don't tell the Apple Store people anything, but they do use their brains like the rest of us.... I'm going to be buying the Dual 2GHz Power Mac so I called the local Apple Store and asked them if I bought the PM this past weekend and iLife '06 came out at MW if I could get the upgrade for free being that it had been just days between the purchase and the upgrade. All the guy told me was, "I would wait until after MacWorld."

I was impressed that he would say that to me. Not like any other store that wouldn't give a flying ***** as long as they made a sale and then an upgrade sale to boot.

Wait, the keynote is at 9 est? That can't be right. That makes it 6am in SF. It's 9am Pacific time, right?
Yep. 11:00 Central. Right? haha. XD I can't check until a few hours after anyways... ughs.

Haha, yeah, once I talked to a person there about Intel, but of course, he tried not to say too much... It is impressive that he'd say that. I saw a lady who looked like she doesn't know s*** about Apple computers buying an iBook the other day. It made me so sad. :( ;)
