No. Someone already asked about these in this thread. They are some kind of third party hard drive enclosures built to look like PowerMacs. They have been around for a while now.

My point is that's REALLLY odd. Just speaks of the "Mac Madness" some Apple users have. I mean, guys aren't staked out of whatever center Bill Gates is speaking.. The pic of him still in his car, then getting out. Just seems really nuts.

nope, i too noticed. it looks like medium and small sized powermacs on the left. what's up with thaT??

Dude, we're having fun. It's the run up to what is arguably the most important keynote in Apple's history and one that could forever transform the way we compute and , actually, redefine 'computers'.

The integration of the living room and the PC will be analyzed for years after the fact and Steve Jobs is the architect behind the move.

We're all excited and passionate about it. Someone took a pic. Heck, I worked for IBM for 7 years and was absolutely stoked to meet Lou Gerstner. And if there were others outside IBM who had the same passion I would have posted his picture too. As it stood, I posted it to the intranet and noone thought it was creepy.

With a user name like yours, and you pouring cold water on what is quite a fun thread, it really makes me wonder what your intentions are.

Yes, I AM a Mac fanatic but am also a 30 year old executive with an MBA. It's ok to feel like a kid before christmas sometimes.

Choose User CP at the top of the page and then, in the Control Panel that runs down the left hand side of the screen, choose "Edit Options." About 2/3 of the way down the page there will be a "Thread Display Mode."

Unfortunately, you can't go higher than 40 posts per page. But hey, that'll get this thing down to 13 pages!

Man, it says "apple specialists" in the non apple font above it. (It's helvetica, because the apple specialists try and look like apple but can't legally use Apple Myraid. That thing is some stupid HD enclosure that isn't worth a 10th of it's price. not apple like at all.

Ya know? I am trying to ruin your thread with a name like mine. You guessed it.

As far as the integration of living room and the pc, it's been done. Several machines released by Sony have tried to combine tv/computer/etc and many OTHER companies. Apple will do no better or worse and will not created some madness that hasn't already been created.

I'm here and following this stuff until tomorrow, dumping all Apple stock (I've ran my course with it and wanna go ON with my life) and maybe buying a mini. Live with it or ignore me, I have an absolute right to post anywhere I want.

Why you had to turn this into some "KILL THE WINDOWS USER" madness is beyond me, but I know why I'm commenting on it. I've posted several times in many threads and have no agenda and if I did, I would find a much better avenue to walk and yell about it.

Someone has issues with me on a mac rumor site. I'll pick up the pieces and move on with my life, I promise.
 
Predicting most post on a thread ever for MacRumors and taking bets!

A thread in MacRumors w/ the most popular item release tomorrow will have over 4500 posts come Friday!

I think the G5 PowerMac got over 3500 posts but I don't believe not much more than that.
