As far as the integration of living room and the pc, it's been done. Several machines released by Sony have tried to combine tv/computer/etc and many OTHER companies. Apple will do no better or worse and will not created some madness that hasn't already been created.

I'm here and following this stuff until tomorrow, dumping all Apple stock (I've ran my course with it and wanna go ON with my life) and maybe buying a mini. Live with it or ignore me, I have an absolute right to post anywhere I want.

Why you had to turn this into some "KILL THE WINDOWS USER" madness is beyond me, but I know why I'm commenting on it. I've posted several times in many threads and have no agenda and if I did, I would find a much better avenue to walk and yell about it.

LOL, of course everyone noticed that. Sorry to disappoint you but what you see are just 3rd party products - search it by Google, these barebones are empty, ready to place your Mac inside it and make it replacable this way (they are equipped with small wheels). I thought that it was known? They are selling small ones, middle ones and big ones and enclosure looks exactly like Powermac (of course, it is designed for Mac users, would you expect PC design?). It has really nothing to do with new Apple computers. But you made me laugh how we are all overexcited these days, thx for that!

Lets take the emotion out of your post and bring this back on topic.

The key word you used is 'TRIED'. Damn straight, TRIED! But noone has succeeded have they? Apple is known for taking technology that exists and making it simple, intuitive and ... cool. Apple will in fact do better - not sure why they would aim for worse. If they did 'no better or no worse' why even invent or be a corporation out to make money?

Look at what the IPOD did. It, and I speak not as a fanboy , but as a marketing executive with an MBA in strategy. It revolutionized the music industry, led to the itunes store, led to itunes going onto WINDOWS machines, video ipods, video shows, now whats next?

I would love to think this was all a master brilliant plan but my bet is that this strategy evolved.

Like it or not, Jobs is a brilliant MARKETEER and it is fun to watch a master at his craft at work.

I did not mention any nonsense about killing anyone or not having you post.

As far as your comment about dumping Apple stock and 'moving on', it is you my friend who is acting emotionally and not using any business sense.

You are 100% right about it being done, but... its never been done right. And saying apple will do no better or worse is saying they should never try to improve on anything ever again. Kind of a narrow minded way to think.

And I dont think he turned this into a "KILL THE WINDOWS USER" issue. Just questioned the intentions of someone with a screen name like yours. And by the way, Im a windows user too. Mac and windows, go figure.
