That said, I pray for a new isight. My macpro is very sad without it, as is the rest of my family that have web cams.
Have you tried that Xbox 360 webcam? It's pretty low-cost and UVC (USB 2.0 Video Class), so OS X 10.4.9 supports it out of the box.
Not sure how it compares to an iSight (especially the USB vs FireWire difference), but given the cost and the fact that it's plug'n play, it's a good deal.
And apart from that green halo ring, it doesn't look too out of place when compared to white Apple hardware.
And to everyone who keeps saying "there can't be new hardware since it's a developer conference", well, those programmers don't all have cash (or even the need) for a Mac Pro. In fact, programmers should have the lowest Mac available too, to make sure their software isn't a ressource hog and works fine on all Macs, if possible (I'm looking at you, Starcraft 2). ;-)
I'd be mad at someone who would tell me "I'm sorry if my program doesn't work properly on your Mac mini, but it runs fine on my 8-core Mac Pro with 8GB of RAM. Get an 8-core Mac Pro with 8GB of RAM to run my program."
Also, if the iPhone can run widgets, then programmers need to be aware of the differences between running a widget on the iPhone vs on the Mac. And maybe even on the AppleTV, who knows.
Developer conference? Yes, that's the name.
New hardware? Nothing prevents it.
